Four more have gone into the blackbook after Major Delico, Lester, Shadow Chevron and Private Eye all produced eye-catching runs on Victoria's circuit.

SHEPPARTON 05/12/19
Trial 1: - BONCEL BENJAMIN ended up being three back on the markers and moved into the death seat with 600m remaining. He drew to the lead approaching the home turn and held off the late challenge of KOTARE ROLAND, which trailed him throughout the entire trial. THEREAL USAIN COLT got caught up behind tiring runners from five back on the markers and finished off well late for third. He did go to the line with plenty in reserve. MURANO was caught without cover for a lap before eventually dropping back to last and following the markers. He finished fourth ahead of SHOWGUN THOMAS, which led out then took cover behind CARTER BROMAC with 1400m remaining. CARTER BROMAC raced extremely fiercely in the early stages and moved around from last to run to the lead. He pulled himself into the ground however and was a beaten horse 300m from home.

Trial 2: - The juvenile pacer SHEFFIELD PEAK (Artspeak – Chloe Sheffield) showed extremely good gate speed to lead and was able to run along at a reasonable tempo. He dropped off his rivals before the home turn and won easily. INSULTING (He’s Watching – Intoxicating 1.57.7, $79,060) settled down at the rear of the field before moving around to trail SHEFFIELD PEAK with 1200m remaining. He raced greenly and wanted to hang out occasionally but finished second and was well clear of BEAUJANGLES (A Rocknroll Dance – Beauty Secret 1.52.4, $425,921), which yielded ground with 400m remaining.

Trial 3: - STARZZZBYTHEBEACH settled five back on the markers before moving into the running line at the 700m mark (1-2). She produced a big finish out wide on the track and grabbed victory on the line. HANOVER STARZZZ (Four Starzzz Shark – Rosalee Hanover 2.0.7, $36,715) settled four back on the markers before moving into the one out and one back trail at the bell. She chased hard, hit the lead and fought on very strongly down the straight to be beaten narrowly. JANG PEL raced without cover throughout and battled on for a distant third ahead of the early leader BEE GEE CEE. TITAN BROMAC settled three back on the markers and finished fifth in front of SPORTY BEN (trailed leader) and FIRST ADVENTURE (Mr Feelgood – Rock Me Gently) was the last one that was following the markers throughout the entire trial.

Trial 4: - FATOUCHE trailed the leader in the early stages before moving around into the lead and dominated the trial thereafter. He continued to extend on his lead and raced to a victory of 60m. RIGHT MOVES was beaten by a long margin but she picked up ground from four back on the markers to finish second with LEXINGTON QUEEN in third. She settled three back on the markers, ran to second on the home bend and galloped momentarily. MAJIC FAIR galloped at the start but was able to pick up the two other mistake makers, which were PICKLES MAGEE (Majestic Son – Our Flash Girl 2.3.4, $38,675) and THE RED WARRIOR. PICKLES MAGEE actually showed good gate speed early to lead before taking cover behind FATOUCHE.

Trial 5: - MAJOR DELICO led throughout and obliterated his rivals in a dynamic front running display. He scored by 70m and seemed to do it easily in the run to the finish. PENNY ANNE settled five back on the markers, moved into the one out and one back trail then peeled wide at the 700m mark. She just held down second in front of CRESCO THREEPEAT, which settled behind the leader. HESTY came from last and picked up ground on the beaten brigade to finish a close up fourth and he went on to win at Gunbower a few days later. CRESCO GOLDIGGER settled four back on the inside and moved into the death seat at the 800m mark. He finished fifth in front of CHARLEY TAMER (3 back markers). OROTESORO (A Rocknroll Dance – Whereyawheeliebin 2.0.3, $20,628) paced roughly then broke stride early in the trial and was retired out of the event.

BLACKBOOKER: - Major Delico
Trial 6: - BLACKENED has been impressive at the trials and did well again after settling down in sixth, moving away from the markers (1-2) and finishing on strongly late. He has ability and is worth following. DAYSEEDEE trailed the leader in the early stages, moved up without cover at the 600m and battled on well for second in front of the open class trotter SKY PETITE, which did a little bit wrong and got fierce mid-race before finding the lead. REPUTATIONAL settled three back on the markers and gained fourth via an inside run with JULIACA in fifth after coming away from the markers (4 back) to race without cover momentarily then gaining the one out and one back trail. TIME TRAVELLER was best of the rest from seven back on the markers and beat home STRAWBERRY COURAGE (8 back markers), the early leader THATSWHATSHESAID and SAMMARI (last throughout) saw the field safely home.

Trial 1: - ROYAL BETTOR was stood down to trial after dropping right out of the race at Kilmore when resuming since September 2018. He took out the trial from the trotter GOODTIME PE RABBIT, which has galloped at his past few race attempts. WHATA ROCKSTAR (Sportswriter – Dream Bonus) finished in third position ahead of MY SUPERANNUATION, which did trial well at Cranbourne a week earlier with CHRISKEN KIOSK coming in last of the five runners.

MARYBOROUGH 08/12/19
Trial 1: - It was a slowly run trial for the open class pacers with SIXTY settling down last of the four runners, coming wide into the front straight and being the quickest in what was a 200m dash for home. MIA FROM MEMPHIS settled down in third position, moved away from the markers to be without cover from the 600m mark and battled on well for second. She was able to get past the early leader BETTOR BE THE BOMB, which enjoyed a dream run in the lead with DUBLIN STREET (trailed leader) finishing last of the four runners.

Trial 2: - SUNDONS COURAGE was an impressive winner of the open class trotting trial where he settled in third position, came to the outside with 300m remaining and showed a brilliant turn of speed to win easily. DOUG trailed the leader SUAVE TAJ throughout and was able to trot into second position in the home straight.

Trial 3: - COMMON COURTESY trailed the leader BONAVISTA BOY (Bonavista Bay – Bianca Jasper 1.59.2, $22,758) and moved into the death seat half way down the back straight on the final occasion. She applied pressure to the leader and just got the better of him late. STAR PUPIL (Alta Christiano – Lady Dynamo) settled at the rear of the field and moved to the outside in the back straight, gaining the one out and one back trail behind COMMON COURTESY. He finished third in front of LORIMERLAGG, which raced three back on the markers.

Trial 4: - The field remained in the same order throughout the entire trial with NAMOSCAR (Ready Cash – Heavens Above) leading from the 1700m over BROOKES ROSE, with BROCKS BEST in third and CHER AMI being last of the four runners. NAMOSCAR accelerated very nicely in the final 150m of the trial to win by a good margin. BROOKES ROSE was safely able to hold BROCKS BEST at bay with CHER AMI dropping out after starting to struggle in the back straight on the final occasion.

Trial 5: - LENARD ESS settled three back on the markers and moved into the one out and one back trail at the 600m before running clear in the straight to win with something in reserve. ROBS LEGACY led out then took a trail behind MISS MORAINE (Pet Rock – Major Love) in the back straight on the first occasion. He moved away from the markers with 600m remaining and ran to the lead but he couldn’t repel the late challenge of LENARD ESS. MISS MORAINE held down third from ACES JETT (Bettors Delight – Donna Rosso), which came from last and TOKEN DREAMER (4 back markers) finished last of the five runners.

Trial 1: - REMAIN ANONAMISS has only had the one run since July and recorded handy time in his trial victory over BLUE VEIN FITZ (Betterthancheddar – Hi Ho Fitz 1.57.6, $96,175), which is related to three winners including Big Mumma Fitz (1.56.2, $26,613). SHEEZA PONY (Lombo Pocket Watch – Lombo Armalight) beat home the nicely bred trotter I STAND ALONE (Danny Bouchea – Diamond Insitu) for third and fourth with PRINCE OF PIRATES (Western Edition – Sparksrgunnafly 2.11.5, $788) running in last of the five runners.

Trial 2: - STARS OF COURAGE hasn’t raced for a long time but he continues to go well at the trials. He boasts a good strike rate and was able to take out his trial by a large margin over the trotter DIAMOND WES. BAKERS BANDIT (Blissfull Hall – Smirking Star) was a further distance away in third position ahead of CEEULATER (Safari – Regards 2.3.2, $6,175) and LAUXMONTS SUCCESS.

BENDIGO 09/12/19
Trial 1: - BANK ON BETTY stepped away reasonably well and was three back on the markers on the first turn but broke stride. She lost approximately 30m so she did a big job to pick up and finish off strongly to win the trial in the run to the line. SPIDERS DEVIL stepped away nicely from the standing start and forged past MYSTIC CHIP to go to the front around the first bend. He kicked on solidly and was just beaten on the line. MYSTIC CHIP finished third with MASCOTT coming from four back on the markers to pick up fourth. CLAUDY AN GUS followed MASCOTT throughout and came in fifth in front of the mistake makers TEETREETOMMY and BEAU GARCON. TEETREETOMMY galloped from three back on the markers mid-race and BEAU GARCON galloped in the early stages.

Trial 2: - WOTCHAWAITINGFOR was able to slot in behind the leader DIVINE STATE around the first corner and enjoyed a good run in transit. He came to the outside with 500m remaining and finished off too well. OUR DOREEN DAYS settled down in third position and finished off quickly for second. He was cutting back the lead margin pretty quickly in the straight. THE BROOKLYN BRAWLER followed OUR DOREEN DAYS and ran into a dead end in the latter stages. He went to the line jogging with no clear run. DIVINE STATE dropped back to be last of the four runners after setting the speed.

Trial 3: - Only three trotters contested the third trial and they stayed in the same order from start to finish. IONA SPIDER was able to lead throughout with DOWNUNDER BARKERS trailing and REGAL PEPPERELL being last of the three. DOWNUNDER BARKERS did loom as a threat with fifty metres remaining but IONA SPIDER got away again late.

Trial 4: - CLARENDEN DAZZLER settled three back on the markers and sustained a long sprint from the 300m mark. He chased down the leader RIVER BOSS and grabbed victory on the line. RIVER BOSS enjoyed a nice run in the lead and got clear of the other pair, which were ONE OF MY PEOPLE (trailed the leader) and SPECULATOR, which was last throughout.

Trial 5: - Abandoned
Trial 6: - ART OF SHENG LI (Art Major – Sheng Li) settled last of the four runners and came to the outside at the half mile marker. She hit the lead with 500m remaining but seemed to lose concentration and wanted to hang in. She regathered momentum and drew clear once she balanced up in the straight. GRACIES SHADOW tried to lead throughout. She was passed by ART OF SHENG LI on the home corner but tried to make ground again via the sprint lane late. BONTON SUNSHINE (Sunshine Beach – Bonton Lady) finished third after trailing the leader throughout. ROCKSLIDE (A Rocknroll Dance – Soky Sue) was looming into third position but hung in and galloped with 100m remaining and lost her chance.

SHEPPARTON 10/12/19
Trial 1: - BLAST AWAY trailed the leader SPORTY BEN and moved away from the inside with 500m remaining. He shot to the lead and established a big enough break to win comfortably at the end. SALVATORE MUNDI settled five back on the markers and gained a one out and one back trail at the 700m mark. He finished off quickly and ended up hard on the back of the winner on the line. FIRE PLAY settled down second last and was doing his best work at the end, running into a distant third. BLUE WREN followed FIRE PLAY throughout and got up to finish fourth. FEELING ENERJETIC galloped momentarily at the start, lost approximately 10m and angled on to the markers to be four back. He moved into the death seat at the half mile marker but was under pressure shortly afterwards. SPORTY BEN dropped out to finished second last and CONCORDE DAWN (3 back markers) saw them all safely home.

Trial 2: - SYZATE (Heston Blue Chip – My Little Black Dress $4,325) put in one or two rough strides at the start but showed good gate speed to lead and rolled along at an even tempo. He went on to win the trial from THE KEW LEGEND (Bettors Delight – Sexy Lady 2.1.4, $4,400), which used inside runs but finished off boldly from five back on the markers. ULTIMATE HUGHEY (Sunshine Beach – Goodtime Annabella 1.59.7, $13,120) settled three back on the markers and was chipping away late in third position. LESTER (He’s Watching – Desiring Bella 2.0.4, $17,172) was a nice trial performance. He settled down fourth and was picking up good ground once he got away from the markers with 400m remaining. He galloped momentarily approaching the home turn and he finished off strongly out wide on the track for an eye-catching fourth. PRINCESS LIL (Smiling Shard – New Age Babe 2.1.7, $12,825) finished fifth after trailing the leader and SHELBY GRACE (Betterthancheddar – Miss Marg Shannon 2.5.0, $4,960) was last throughout.

BLACKBOOKER: - Lester
Trial 3: - KOTARE ROLAND began quickly to lead and was always in control of the trial. He got away after getting a few flicks with the whip in the final 100m. EL GRAN SENOR settled last of the five and made a quick dash from the quarter pole. He got within two lengths of KOTARE ROLAND before peaking a little in the final 30m. SKY PETITE trailed the leader throughout and held on quite well for third. IDEAL SUSPECT was fourth on the markers throughout and finished fourth in front of HEAVEN IN LOCKSLEY, which paced very roughly from three back on the markers with 600m remaining.

Trial 4: - IMPERIAL COUNTESS was able to trail the leader SUPER ANGUS and drew to the lead when she came to the outside on the home turn. THE RED WARRIOR (Bacardi Lindy – Spring Fly 2.5.1, $25,456) followed IMPERIAL COUNTESS late and picked up some ground in the final stages but had to be content with second. SUPER ANGUS led easily at the start but the other three runners were all happy to remain balanced without doing anything special early. He finished third with CRACKER JET (Quaker Jet – Win Winnie Win) being tailed off after galloping on the first bend.

Trial 5: - AFTER THE CHASE (Mr Feelgood – Chasing Chelsea 1.58.9, $25,215) settled three back on the markers and moved into the one out and one back trail when CRESCO GOLDIGGER left the back of the leader to move up without cover. He launched a winning claim on the home turn and raced greenly when he hit the lead so it was a promising start to his preparation. REALITY WRITER settled down last of the seven runners and came with a big finish out wide on the track to finish second with the early leader COULD BE WOODY dropping back late to finish in third position. CRESCO GOLDIGGER put pressure on the leader from half way down the back straight but got a little bit tired late. SONNYS AMAZING (Bettors Delight – Amazing Ellen) settled down sixth behind WINGING GRIN (Grinfromeartoear – Winging It) and was able to pick up that pacer late. STARZZZOFMICHAEL (Four Starzzz Shark – Chess Timer 1.57.2, $25,400) was last of the seven runners throughout.

Trial 6: - SHADOW CHEVRON settled four back on the markers before being shuffled back to second last when ONE OF MY PEOPLE (3 back markers) started to yield ground with 700m remaining. He then came to the outside approaching the home turn and finished over the top of his rivals to win. He did appear to be jogging in the run to the finish. SPRING DELIGHT settled five back on the markers and chased into third in the back straight. He loomed up as a winning chance but couldn’t repel the late challenge from SHADOW CHEVRON. PENNY ANNE trailed the leader throughout and finished third ahead of IM JOEY JONES, which galloped momentarily at the start and lost approximately 15m and settling at the tail of the field. The early leader SHADOW ASSASSIN dropped out to finish fifth with ONE OF MY PEOPLE finishing a distant last.

Trial 1: - The field of three runners remained in the same order from the start with MUSCLETONIAN stepping to the front from the stand and remaining in control throughout. SOBOMBA held down second after trailing the leader throughout and BULLION LADY ended up finishing last but was picking up a little bit of ground on SOBOMBA during the latter stages.
Mile Rate: - 2.6.2 Final Half: - 58.55 Margins: - 8.5m, 2.5m
Trial 2: - The smart trotter ANDOVER SUN stepped away slowly and settled last of the three runners but was able to get warmed up in the final 600m. He was able to work past the early leader RED WHITE AN BLOOM (Orlando Vici – Moyabamba 1.59.3, $83,242) in the straight. He trotted a little roughly in the latter stages but he held a good advantage. RED WHITE AN BLOOM shifted out a little when turning into the front straight with 1200m left to travel. He kicked on well once challenged and CASH LOVER (Ready Cash – Lucky Love) finished last of the three runners after trailing the leader throughout.

Trial 3: - TAM OSHANTER settled three back on the inside and dashed through along the sprint lane in the final stages. He accelerated beautifully to get up and defeat UNEEDABITOFMUSCLE, which set the pace with ORLANDOS PRINCESS finishing third after trailing the leader. MONTPELLIER was in fourth position after being last of the main group throughout. ALDEBARAN SUNNY (Skyvalley – Sundonna) and QUEEN OF EURASIA (Bacardi Lindy – Maori Missile 2.4.6, $1,203) both galloped away from the mobile start and were tailed off throughout.

Trial 4: - ROCKINGWITHSIERRA settled four back on the inside and moved up out three horses wide from the quarter pole. She sprinted sharply and was able to get up to defeat SOEXTRA (Bettors Delight – Lagoon Lady 1.57.3, $203,183), which trailed the leader throughout. ROCKTAGONAL finished third after setting the speed and finished well clear of TERROR BULL GIRL, which trailed the leader throughout. WATCHFORTHEEMOTE (Courage Under Fire – Lewisienna Jo 1.57.3, $46,081) was always at the tail of the field and was struggling from the back straight on the final occasion.

Trial 5: - MIRAKURU began well to get to the markers first before taking cover behind CORRINYAH CONMAN. He came to the outside with 600m remaining and proved to be superior, forging away in the straight to win easily. PLAN CE settled down five back on the markers and finished off strongly to snare second in front of MAXINES DELIGHT, which tried to follow up behind the eventual winner from three back on the markers. FRANCO settled four back on the inside and beat home LETS GO BETTER, which was without cover early before snagging back to last. CORRINYAH CONMAN tired from the 500m mark after setting the speed and MASTER MOONLITE had a gear issue shortly after the start and failed to complete the course.

Trial 6: - VICTREE HILL (Trixton – Sweet Pretense) backed up an impressive Maryborough trial second with an effortless all of the way victory where he scored by a large margin. SPECIAL INTEREST (Yankee Spider – Dream Interest) settled three back on the markers and worked into second when ARAIGNEE FLAIR, which was trailing the leader, galloped under pressure on the home turn. ALDEBARAN YOLANDA (Andover Hall – Charming Yankee) and TANISHAS DREAM (Conche Deville – Gina Dawn) both galloped away and were tailed off throughout the trial.
Trial 7: - PEANDAVASDELIGHT (Pet Rock – Libbys First) pushed forward to find the lead then was taken on by LET GO MARSHALL (Hurrikane Kingcole – Sokysatin) mid-race. He eventually took cover before coming to the outside turning out of the back straight on the final occasion. He eventually got the better of LET GO MARSHALL and drew away in the latter stages. CITY OF ROSES (Belles And Whistles – Aristano Is I) settled down three back on the markers and finished in third position ahead of DALY SPRINGFIELD (Shadow Play – Darlin Springfield), which was last of the main group in the final circuit. DON’T WORRY PAT (Pet Rock – Atlarak) dropped off the bunch coming up to the bell and ended up finishing a fair way off the main division.

Trial 8: - MASTER MOONLITE raced without cover for the first lap before angling in onto the markers behind the tearaway leader LUVHAVINFUN at the bell. He closed the gap on the leader in the back straight before coming to the outside with 500m to run and quickly ran to the top. He sustained the run to win nicely at the end. ITZAMAJOR SURPRISE settled down sixth (1-2) on the outside before gaining the one out and one back trail at the bell. He finished off quickly in the latter stages to pick up second. ITS BEAUJOLAIS gained the one out and one back trail behind MASTER MOONLITE before being left stranded without cover from the bell. He battled on well for third in front of HORRATIO, which settled last on the outside (1-2 from bell). LUVHAVINFUN dashed to the lead early and got well clear of the remainder of the field mid-race. He tired into fifth but finished ahead of the trotter AUNTIE POPPY (4 back markers), IMA SPORTSSTAR (trailed leader, 3 back pegs) and MAJOR GAIT tired in the latter stages after enjoying an easy run on the markers.

Trial 9: - GOODTIME FLOYD (Somebeachsomewhere – Bella Joy 1.53.8, $109,849) began quickly to find the lead and completely dominated the trial where he dashed home in a quick final half and raced away over the final stages. PLAYFUL MISS held down second after trailing the leader throughout and LETHAL LOVER came from last of the four runners to pick up LET’S GO EXCLUSIVE, which was racing fiercely during the middle stages and moved up without cover from the bell.

Trial 10: - JESSIES GIRL settled down in third position but was left stranded without cover and pressed forward to find the lead at the 1200m mark. She dashed clear turning for home and although getting a little leg weary late, was able to hang on and get the prize. TEN SPANNERS settled down six back on the markers in last position. He angled to the outside approaching the home turn and finished off solidly to get within four metres of the winner. WARPIE settled four back on the inside and followed the markers for the majority of the trip, eventually getting into third position. WIL HE STAR tried to kick through underneath of POWER OF ZEUS in the early stages of the event and the pair went pretty quickly. He eventually took cover then moved away from the markers again with 600m remaining. He finished fourth ahead of MALIBU JACK (Grinfromeartoear – Classic Malibu 1.59.4, $72,665) (5 back markers) and POWER OF ZEUS (Bells And Whistles – That’s Final 2.2.7, $3,600) tired in the latter stages to finish at the tail of the field.

KILMORE 11/12/19
Trial 1: - ZOLIVER was very impressive in taking out the opening trial. He began slowly and settled last of the five runners before sliding around the field to find the lead in the last circuit. He kept the pressure on throughout the final lap and won by a large margin. JAMIESON STEELE settled in fourth position, moved away from the inside and made ground in the back straight before slotting in behind ACE DUIGAN at the quarter pole. He then waited for the sprint lane and was able to drive through late for second. ACE DUIGAN finished third after setting the speed and BARRANJOEY was fourth after settling three back on the markers and giving chase with 600m to run. TAUTO JANE tired to run last after trailing the leader throughout.

Trial 2: - HEZA BRAXTON was able to roll to the lead shortly after the start and set up the tempo. He was challenged on the home turn but was able to draw clear again in the latter stages. AISHABEACH missed the start by approximately 20-30m and was a clear last early. She moved into the death seat and gave chase in the final circuit, joining HEZA BRAXTON on the home turn before peaking in the final stages. INSULTING (He’s Watching – Intoxicating 1.57.7, $79,060) trailed the leader and wanted to hang out for the majority of the trial. He finished a distant third in front of SOMETHING FAST (Safely Kept – The Perfect Mona 2.0.3, $4,620), which missed the start by approximately 15m and was always detached from the pack. QUIETACHIEVER (Bettors Delight – Artistic Dancer) was three back on the markers but was struggling a long way from home and dropped out to finish at the tail of the field.

Trial 3: - SHOWMETHECASH (Ready Cash – Showmethemaori) trailed the leader BOOS A BEAUTY throughout and came to the outside on the home turn. She finished off stylishly to record a big victory. SON OF A WHIZZ is still green but showed some ability. He dropped out to last and wanted to throw his head in the air for most of the first lap then sustained a strong run from the half mile marker. He dashed to the front with 400m remaining but wanted to steer well clear of the inside and was shifting ground out to the centre of the track in the latter stages. He finished second and was well clear of SAVVY KYVALLEY (Andover Hall – Aldebaran Dream 2.3.4, $53,200) with BOOS A BEAUTY dropping out to be last of the four runners.

Trial 4: - PRIVATE EYE (He’s Watching – Oh Eye See 1.54.5, $101,745) was extremely impressive in his runaway victory. He showed brilliant gate speed to lead clearly, ran along at a genuine tempo and bolted away with the trial. The only negative about his performance was the fact he paced extremely roughly and almost broke strike with 100m remaining but his legs were moving very quickly. IM THE MIGHTY GRAMPS came from four back on the markers to snare second in front of EXPRESS BEAUTY (Art Major – Braeview Express 2.1.4, $9,985), which settled one position ahead of him in the run. CASINO BARRY (Heston Blue Chip – Casino Princess 1.59.7, $31,715) settled down in seventh position and tried to make up ground without cover from the 1200m mark. He steadily made his way into fourth position ahead of PRIDDY ARTFUL (Art Major – Our Priddy Diva), which settled down five back on the markers. VILLAGE FLING (Fling It – Bonnie Cheval) was second last throughout and CALYPSO MISTRESS dropped out to finish last of the seven after trailing the leader throughout.

Trial 5: - MASS DESTRUCTION began slowly from the handicap of 30m and gave the leader BACARDI CHARDY a big start but was able to peg him back slowly. He loomed alongside BACARDI CHARDY with 150m remaining and went to the line jogging with his nose in front. THE HONOURS stepped away safely and was second behind BACARDI CHARDY going around the first bend but he broke stride shortly afterwards and was tailed off for the remainder of the trial.
