GOODFORM – Ryan’s tips and game plan for Tuesday night at Shepparton

Ryan Phelan has outlined his selections and suggested game plan for tonight’s 10-race card at Shepparton.

R1 – 5:32pm – Benstud Standardbreds Pace – 2190m

4 – Barwen Storm

7 – Lethal Lover

3 – Arraps

1 – Ohhemmjay Cresco

R2 – 5:57pm – CGI 4yo & Older Pace – 2190m

2 – On A Night

4 – Hello Sweetheart

10 – Alamo

3 – Royle Blood

On A Night loomed up to be in the finish before galloping at a crucial stage on the turn last week. Her run prior ran a good 2nd when unsuccessfully challenging for the lead. She’s worth a speck at good odds.

BACK: 2 On A Night – 1 Unit (win)

R3 – 6:27pm – Alabar Pace – 2190m

8 – Be A Good Scout

1 – Joeys Hangover

3 – Aliza Hill

5 – Cheeky Philtra

Be A Good Scout strikes a suitable race and draw to improve on his recent form. James Herbertson goes aboard and gets the soft run on the pegs behind the likely leader.

BACK: Be A Good Scout – 1 Unit (win)

R4 – 6:59pm – Mazzetti Painting Pace – 1690m

4 – Hez Harrywho

11 – Bandit Eyes

1 – Lils Nightmare

3 – My Way

Hez Harrywho was terrific last week when worked around them from the backrow winning tough in good time. Gets to a similar position easier now and can be too strong.

BACK: Hez Harrywho – 2 Units (win)

R5 – 7:31pm – Renown Silverware Pace – 2190m

4 – Can Feel The Fury

9 – Credulous

8 – Rocknroll Kiss

2 – Bee Gee Cee

Can Feel The Fury had been trialling well before his first-up win for new trainer Kate Hargreaves in impressive fashion. Fitter now and goes to the front row and will have a significant advantage over his main dangers off the back row.

BACK: Can Feel The Fury – 2 Units (win)

R6 – 8:00pm – Saddleworld Shepparton Trotters Cup (G3) – 2190m

8 – Just Believe

7 – Harry Stamper

5 – Jazspur

4 – Berriesandcherries

What a treat it is to have the champ Just Believe here in the Shepparton Cup. No betting strategy, just sit back and enjoy one of the modern greats!

R7 – 8:33pm – The Abrahams 2yo Trotters Classic – 2190m

6 – Mystery Fred

7 – Nipotina

2 – Kinvara Kate

5 – Majic Valley

R8 – 9:00pm – Gus Underwood Shepparton Trotters Oaks – 2190m

6 – Violet Stanford

5 – Link In Bio

4 – Ikigai

3 – Centurion Dream

R9 – 9:30pm – Mark Gurry & Associates Pace – 1690m

5 – Very Tempting

1 – Eagles and Indians

8 – Cobber Mac

7 – Roberts Delight

Very Tempting was well supported last start in a stronger race then this and had to race tough before getting it wrong before fully tested. He’s worth another chance from this draw.

BACK: 5 Very Tempting – 2 Units (win)

R10 – 10:00pm – Neatline Homes Pace – 1690m

3 – Playnice

4 – Fantasy Beach

1 – Our Christiano

6 – Terroroan

Playnice won’t get a better opportunity to grab his second win for the season here. He absolutely flies the gate, the mile suits and will get a great steer from the talented Ryan Sanderson.

BACK: 3 Playnice – 2 Units (win)
