Ryan Phelan takes a look at the form for the eight races from Echuca Sunday night.

R1 – 6:04m – Moama Bowling Club Pace Final - 1755m

2 – Aliza Hill

6 – Our Cheeky Devil

8 – Eastbro Jesse

4 – Celestial Zodiac

Aliza Hill is a speedy mile specialist blessed with the early gate speed to lead here. She ran a career best mile rate in her heat at Swan Hill, and it can be argued, she sets up even better this time around the way her dangers will map.

BACK: 2 Aliza Hill – 2 Units (win)

R2 – 6:42pm – Rich River Golf Club Pace – 2160m

8 – Herakles

7 – Swizzlestick

3 – Bruised Ego

2 – A Rocknroll Jet

Herakles has been in terrific form this preparation, even though he blotted the copybook at his last start. He was a short-priced favourite in a tougher race than this, and rolled the dice at the start unsuccessfully attempting to lead and working hard. He possesses a good sprint at the end of his races to come over the top.

BACK: 8 Herakles – 2 Units (win)

R3 – 7:12pm – GTS Hardware Tongala Pace – 1755m

1 – Angel Of Anger

7 – Reign Em In

3 – Kimcando

9 – Sir Sonny Maguire

Angel Of Anger has come up massive odds here for a horse who looks the leader over the short trip. She hasn’t won since August last year but that was in a decent race at Melton where she ran pretty good time in front. She’s worth an each way place at great value.

BACK: 1 Angel Of Anger – 0.5 Unit (win) 1.5 Unit (place)

R4 – 7:41pm – Drovers Saddlery Echuca Pace – 2160m

7 – Admiralofthefleet

5 – Dancingonstarlight

6 – Muriel

8 - Kimchi

R5 – 8:19pm – Llowalong Farms Maiden Pace – 2160m

1 – Sheer Vitality

2 – Treacherous Jewel

7 – Coogee

3 – Maddaleez

Sheer Vitality is a 3yo filly having her first start, but her trial effort presents as a good formline. She recently finished 2nd in a trial at Wagga in slick time and the winner of that trial has since won impressively. This isn’t an overly strong opposition so I’m happy to be with her on debut.

BACK: 1 Sheer Vitality – 3 Units (win)

R6 – 8:53pm – Get Real Support Pace – 1755m

6 – Four Starzzz Ruby

3 – Polly Peachum

7 – Royal Cadence

5 – Surfinatmidnight

Four Starzzz Ruby has been in great form lately winning two of her last three starts. Her most recent was a forgive run, where she did all the work and stuck to the task well. She has good gate speed to put herself into the race, and driver Ellen Tormey is unbeaten on her.

BACK: 6 Four Starzzz Ruby – 1 Unit (win)

R7 – 9:22pm – Rich River Auto Body Works Pace – 1755m

7 – Allheartnoheight

8 – Beryls Grin

1 – Go George Go

9 – Ace Duigan

** A betting unit is typically a percentage of the total bankroll or the amount of money you are willing to risk on a particular bet – for example 1 unit is 10% of your bankroll, therefore with a $100 bankroll 1 unit equals $10.
