Ryan Phelan has your tips, strategy and Quaddie for the 5pm start at Shepparton.

Race 1:
OVERVIEW: WHERES WOOD WOOD (8) boasts consistent form, a trait which few others possess here. Over the middle trip the tricky pegs draw isn’t too bad, with a good driver aboard she can conserve and produce at the right time.
MYNAMEISRUBY (6) is starting to run out of chances, but she has good gate speed, top driver and her best form would be good enough to win. NORTHERN TERROR (10) was a winner four runs back and last time out sat tough and battle away ok to run third. He can work home well late. LOCHIEL LAD (12) hasn’t run a place in 12 starts this time in but was slightly better last time and this is the easiest race he’s faced in a while.
SELECTIONS: WHERES WOOD WOOD (8), MYNAMEISRUBY (6), NORTHERN TERROR (10), LOCHIEL LAD (12)

Race 2:
OVERVIEW: PARINI (11) was well supported on debut and ran a good 2nd to a smart one. Punters buttered up again last week here, but he got it wrong at the start. There looks to be a deal of ability there and he’s worth forgiving and may be fair odds to find out.
ROMAN SCRITTORE (3) creates plenty of interest as a first starter with Herbertson aboard. His recent trial he finished third behind a couple of smart types and looked ok. A strong betting push would be intriguing. SON OF A BROAD (5) has been ultra consistent and had to sit parked last and work again, only to be narrowly run down. He will win soon but looks set to do it tough again. LOWER WEST SIDE (4) is promising to win a race soon, but has found easier opportunities, but deserves to be kept safe.

BACK: PARINI (11) – 2 units (win)
SELECTIONS: PARINI (11), ROMAN SCRITTORE (3), SON OF A BROAD (5), LOWER WEST SIDE (4)
Race 3:
OVERVIEW: SHARP INTEREST (10) was good on resuming at Charlton where she was forced into a speed battle and stuck to her guns well to run 2nd running fast time. She goes to the backrow now, but that run suggests the class that she showed last year is still there.
COLORADO GIRL (6) was a little disappointing last week, but her run prior at Cranbourne was good. She was able to race on speed there which is where she performs best so the front row helps. HEZ HARRYWHO (8) has a strong SP profile but has proven costly for punters from better draws. Herbertson does get the best out of him so don’t dismiss. MASTER MIKI (11) has improved his past few runs, performing well, but this draw is tricky.

BACK: SHARP INTEREST (10) – 2.5 units (win)
SELECTIONS: SHARP INTEREST (10), COLORADO GIRL (6), HEZ HARRYWHO (8), MASTER MIKI (11)
Race 4:
OVERVIEW: DRAXON (4) was very well backed last time out and had no luck whatsoever, surrendering the lead mid-race only to be dragged back to last by a tiring runner. The trials and form prior suggest he’s going well and can show speed again and with better luck be hard to beat.
SOHO PLAYGIRL (8) and GOLDEN HOOK (9) are on the quick back up from Sunday where both had a strong chance, and on ratings they are the quality pair, they just have to overcome the backrow draw. ISLAND YANKEE (2) resumes here as a 3yo and has trialled ok. His form last preparation was quite good, and although he’s taking on more experienced types stays under notice.

BACK: DRAXON (4) – 3 units (win)
SELECTIONS: DRAXON (4), SOHO PLAYGIRL (8), GOLDEN HOOK (9), ISLAND YANKEE (2)
Race 5:
OVERVIEW: Very strong race for this grade with several positive form lines. ROLLONART (2) was an easy leader one debut and rolled along in front and ran them into the ground. Theres been a stable change, but shouldn’t lose anything on that score, and a similar run in transit could see a similar result.
DUSTY PHILTRA (7) has proven himself as a horse with ability and although was a beaten favourite here last week, would lose no admirers making good ground from back in the field. The draw hurts again though. LOIERO (8) has been well supported his past couple and got the win last week from a similar draw. This is harder though. FENWAY PARK (6) won well last time at Parkes, and whilst it’s hard to line up that form must be respected on what we’ve seen.
SELECTIONS: ROLLONART (2), DUSTY PHILTRA (7), LOIERO (8), FENWAY PARK (6)
Race 6:
OVERVIEW: OUR SWEET JEANNIE (3) returns to the front row, a key ingredient to her using her gate speed and potentially finding the top. She won her maiden from that position and made good ground last timeout in a race that developed into a sprint home. This looks a great race to return to the winners list.
FLOPPA (6) has caught the eye has past couple, last time ratting to the line when the race was all over. He may have a dip for the lead, but the map is a slight concern. IM BIG BUSINESS (8) has been racing well, just often running into some smarter types. This race seems more to his liking. HELLOVASTORY (7) has been good his past two and a winner last time, but this draw is tricky.

BACK: OUR SWEET JEANNIE (3) – 2.5 units (win)
SELECTIONS: OUR SWEET JEANNIE (3), FLOPPA (6), IM BIG BUSINESS (8), HELLOVASTORY (7)
