Ryan Phelan has done the form for tonight's 7-race card from Shepparton.
R1 – 5:58pm – Neatline Homes Pace - 2190m
8 – Hez Harrywho
10 - Clare Favourite
2 - Wazowski
9 – Ruby Wingate
Hez Harrywho finds himself back in his sweet spot, dropping back massively in grade and on his home track where five of his six career wins have come from. Whilst he normally is a horse who prefers to race on speed, I like the booking of James Herbertson to overcome the map negatives.
BACK: 8 Hez Harrywho– 1.5 Units (win)
R2 – 6:25pm – Avenel Equine Hospital Pace – 1690m
7 – I Like What I See
10 – Sophies Scooter
8 – Animado
3 – I Knew Not Where
R3 – 6:59pm – Your Sold Real Estate Pace – 1690m
11 – Imawingate
6 – Shezabluechip
10 – Ace Duigan
8 – Home And Dry
R4 – 7:36pm – Cottrells Electrical Trot – 2190m
2 – Settle The Bill
10 – Lots Of Change
3 - Querencia
4 – Kalarney Prince
Settle The Bill has found a new lease on life since joining the Damian Wilson stable unbeaten in all three runs. As her rating was so low, she still finds herself in the same grade as those wins, so she’s extremely well placed. She’s not brilliant out, so will have to work to the front, which is the only slight reservation from stamping her a good thing.
BACK: 2 Settle The Bill – 2.5 Units (win)
R5 – 8:10pm – Become A Member $25 Trot – 1690m
8 – Sista Evarista
1 – Christmas Babe
6 – Mac Flick
3 – Hillside
R6 – 8:44pm – Hunter Rural Pace – 1690m
4 – Lenard Ess
7 – Follow The Ace
3 – Bubby To Base
2 – Changeover Girl
Lenard Ess finds himself reasonably well placed here off three solid runs at Melton including a win albeit getting the gun run from the ace. The set up here isn’t too bad with enough speed to find the front or control from the chair, and you get one of the best in Greg Sugars. Big overs.
BACK: 4 Lenard Ess – 0.5 Unit (win) 1 Unit (place)
R7 – 9:18pm – Shepparton Members Draw Every Tuesday Night Pace – 1690m
4 – Calexico
6 – Frugal Fare
5 – Momentum Shift
7 – Anywhereigohugo
Calexico was a forgive run last start when he was taken out of the race on the home turn. That was his second run back from a spell following a strong resumption where he finished strongly with a solid 2nd in good time. He’s a winner at this track, and with the barrier draw advantage, should race handy and prove hard to run down.
BACK: 4 Calexico – 4.5 Units (win)
QUADDIE (Races 4-7)

** A betting unit is typically a percentage of the total bankroll or the amount of money you are willing to risk on a particular bet – for example 1 unit is 10% of your bankroll, therefore with a $100 bankroll 1 unit equals $10.
