Tim O'Connor has done the form for Friday night's Terang Cup meeting.
R1 – 6.33pm – MT NOORAT FREIGHTERS PACE – 1680m
8 – Tinsel Tiara
10 – She Will Wantano
6 – Goodtime Stryker
9 – Blue Miki
R2 – 7.03pm – NEVILLE & PATSY CLARKE MEMORIAL PACE – 2180m
1 – Spirit Of Pearl
8 – Bolramksi
3 – Luvascrap
2 – Major Drama
Spirit Of Pearl almost crossed to the front first-up, but was then caught wide and battled away to be beaten less than 10m. I think he leads easily in this race and will give a great showing.
BACK: 1 Spirit Of Pearl – 2 units (win)
R3 – 7.33pm – RIDLEY TROT – 2180m
4 – Keayang Lavita
7 – Floating Mountain
2 – Beach Heaven
3 – Mattyo
R4 – 8.03pm – MORSBEARINGS PACE – 1608m
7 – Catch A Wave
5 – Yambukian
3 – Collective Works
6 – Rock N Roll Doo
Good little sprint race here and I'm going again with Catch A Wave despite him taking my money on a number of occasions. I think stablemate Yambukian will find the front initially and "Tex" can either work to the top or sit back and unleash that big sprint to get the job done. Happy with $1.50 or better.
BACK: 7 Catch A Wave – 2 units (win)
R5 – 8.33pm – TERANG CO-OP TERANG PACING CUP (LISTED CLASSIC) – 2680m
11 – Dont Stop Dreaming
10 – Triple Eight
9 – Tango Tara
4 – Exotic Bushranger
R6 – 9.03pm – PAT BELLMAN MEMORIAL PACE – 1680m
6 – Keayang Taco
1 – Jilliby Ryder
8 – Heavenly Brigade
4 – Ata Rangi
Hard to ignore the strong push from the stable for Keayang Taco, who had some promising form last preparation and finds a winnable assignment first-up.
BACK: 6 Keayang Taco – 1.5 units (win)
R7 – 9.33pm – MATTHEWS PETROLEUM TERANG TROTTERS CUP (LISTED CLASSIC) – 2680m
7 – Keayang Chucky
6 – Plymouth Chubb
4 – Aldebaran Vera
2 – Brandlo Prince
Really, if Keyang Chucky trots the whole way here it's hard to see any of his rivals beating him based on current form. He's short, but if you can find something in the $1.80 range, he's a great bet.
BACK: 7 Keayang Chucky – 2.5 units (win)
R8 – 10pm – TERANG CO-OP RURAL STORE PACE – 1680m
4 – Auckland Red
7 – Keayang Blue Jeans
6 – Keayang Payton
2 – Odin
Auckland Red comes up against an army of Lee stablemates in the final event, and I’m keen to back him based on current form. He went back-to-back at Cranbourne and Geelong, and then looked like he had lots to give when held up last time out against handy rivals.
BACK: 4 Auckland Red – 1 unit (each-way)
QUADDIE
1, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11

** A betting unit is typically a percentage of the total bankroll or the amount of money you are willing to risk on a particular bet – for example 1 unit is 10% of your bankroll, therefore with a $100 bankroll 1 unit equals $10.
