Maajida’s little sister, the little bro to The Boss Man and a colt with rare lines to I Can Doosit will be among the tantalising propositions stepping out in tomorrow’s Tabcorp Park Melton trials.

None of the participants in the day's first three trials are yet to launch in a race, making it an even greater opportunity to scour the vision for some valued insights.

The trials will be streamed live at thetrots.com.au from just after noon tomorrow at this address.

Now let’s take a closer look at those two-year-olds …

Trial One: 2YO trotters

  1. Kyvalley Heist:

From the Brent Lilley stable, the unraced Muscle Mass colt is out of Love You mare U Dream. Bred by Aldebaran Park and owned by Jim Connelly’s KPC Racing, Kyvalley Heist is U Dream’s first foal. The dam is out of Galleons Dream, making her a half-sister to Galleons Sunset ($315,200) and Kathy Galleon, dam of Courchevel. This is Kyvalley Heist's second trial, having run fourth at Tabcorp Park Melton on March 24 when four back on the markers throughout.

  1.  Whos The Man:

Bred and owned by the MacLean Family Group, the Angus Hall gelding is having his second trial having finished second to three-year-old trotter Lotta Fuss at Bendigo on March 22. Unraced Whos The Man is out of Oh Yes Indeed, whose outstanding progeny are headlined by Group 1 placegetter The Boss Man ($265,714, pictured) and Group 1 winner Anywhere Hugo ($143,650).

  1. Hotel Kyvalley

Another of Jim Connelly’s KPC Racing crew, Hotel Kyvalley was bred by Martin and Kaye Harnett and fetched $16,000 at the 2019 Australian Premier Trotting Sale. By Father Patrick out of Lindys Two Step, the unraced colt is a half to nine-time winner Glenferrie Belle. Tuesday marks his fifth trial, having placed second at his last two attempts after breaking in his previous three.

Trial Two: 2YO pacers

  1. Double Happiness

Having her third trial for Lance Justice, Double Happiness has finished fifth (Melton March 24) and fourth (Kilmore March 17) at previous hit-outs. By Rock N Roll Heaven out of Waltzing Mathilda, she was bred by Robert and Mary Wills and is a half-sister to 19-time winner Warminster ($176,978).

  1. Nivekalon Eagle

Bred by Alabar and snapped up by James Frost and trainer Mitchell Frost for $15,000 at the 2019 Melbourne APG sale, the Shadow Play gelding is the first foal out of Piece Of My Heart, a six-time winner. Tuesday marks his first trial.

  1. Anahita

There will be no shortage of eyes on this little full-sister to reigning Australian two-year-old filly of the year Maajida (pictured), already a winner of $327,320. Also out Somebeachsomewhere and by mare Arterial Way, unraced Anahita was bred by the Johnson family and was something of a steal when snapped up for $20,000 at the 2019 Melbourne APG sale, only a month or two before Maajida began her dominant season. With ownership now shared by the Maclean Family, syndicate Couple Up Six, Trevor Hill, Debra Hill and Carol Simpson, Tuesday marks her first trial for trainer-driver Chris Svanosio.

  1. Super Seb

A big group of owners will be tuning in to follow the prospects of Super Seb, who was bred by Neville Cranston and Jeremy Bush and sold for $40,000 at the 2019 Melbourne APG sale. By Mach Three out of Nightshade Franco, the gelding will race for Andy Gath and is a half to 17-time winner Regal Nightshade ($93,210).  This marks Super Seb’s first trial for owners Neale Donnelly, John Morahan, The Coach Group, Mark Hunter, Genaro Sposato, Michael Catanzariti, Ross Lanyon, Damian Troy, Carol Bass and Charles Cohen.

Trial Three: 2YO trotters

  1. Lifeinthebalance

A Grinfromeartoear gelding out of Artistic Wings, unraced Lifeinthebalance steps out for trainer Mitchell Frost, who leases him with Tony, Jordan, Alyssah and Lachlan Chibnall and Nadene Wertz. Tuesday marks his second trial, having ran third of three at Melton on March 24, when Craig Rail noted in his Trial File that he “did everything right but couldn’t go with the leading duo”.

  1. Kyvalley Hotspur

The Breckon Farms bred and owned Muscle Hill trotter steps out for his first trial Tuesday. Trained by Brent Lilley, he is out of unraced Love You mare Love Ya Doosie, whose previous foals were race winners Kyvalley Chief and Kyvalley Senator. Most notably, Love Ya Doosie is the only half to brilliant trotter I Can Doosit, who won 36 of 55 starts and $1,377,319 in stakes.

  1. Tipsy Turvy

Owned and bred by Sue and Evan Crick and trained by Maree Caldow, Tipsy Turvy is the first foal of mare Titillate to reach the track. By Bacardi Lindy, unraced Tipsy Turvy is having its second trial after a fifth at Tabcorp Park Melton on March 24.

  1. Here Comes Kyvalley

By Muscle Mass out of Nice One Kenny, the Beverley Williamson bred colt is another who will race for Jim Connelly’s KPC Racing and to be trained by Brent Lilley. Unraced Here Comes Kyvalley has his second trial having finished third of five at Melton on March 24, when he finished 8.5 metres behind winner Six Nations.
