LISTEN: Dan and Rob go back to the future to preview Geelong

Form analyst Rob Auber and racecaller Dan Mielicki sat down to discuss the Saturday night harness fixture under the lights at Beckley Park, Geelong.

Auber reminisced about his time at the venue on The Saturday Night Harness Preview Show.

“It’s been a place I’ve spent many, many, many years and decades,” Auber said.

“I started calling the trials there when I was a young fellow and it’s always nice to go down there and reacquaint with many of the locals… it’s always a pretty special night the Geelong Pacing Cup night.”

The $50,000 TMA Hire Geelong Pacing Cup has a number of Victoria Cup runners returning to the track.

“Bulletproof Boy, his effort was just so good in the Vic Cup. He doesn’t have to blast off the gate, he can come from behind. He’s got a terrific sprint on him,” Mielicki said.

Auber and Mielicki have both agreed that Rock N Roll Doo is the horse to beat in the Group 3 feature.

Sponsored by the Victorian Harness Racing Club, the preview will be broadcast on RSN and is available now on the podcast below.
