Rob Auber and Dan Mielicki are looking away from the favourites in what shapes as a classic edition of the Garrards Westburn Grant Free For All at Melton.
Auber is siding with the reigning Victoria Cup champ in Rock N Roll Doo, who tackles the race first-up from a long spell for trainer-driver Michael Stanley.
“We know the best of Rock N Roll Doo, he’s as good as any horse in Australia. And I think each-way, I’m happy to play him here,” Auber said during The Saturday Night Harness Preview Show.
Mielicki is in the corner of Jess Tubbs-trained Better Eclipse, who he feels “represents the value” in a race loaded with Group 1 winners.
