Podcast: CEO discusses move to regional racing model

Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) CEO Dayle Brown (pictured) today joined Gareth Hall and Dan Mielicki on RSN for a detailed interview after HRV’s decision to move to a regional racing model for the next six weeks.

Mr Brown explained HRV had consulted widely and moved quickly following the State Government tightening restrictions on metropolitan Melbourne and the Mitchell Shire due to COVID-19.

“My job as leader of this sport is firstly to ensure the health and well-being of our people and secondly to keep us racing,” he said.

While harness racing has divided into regional hubs, Mr Brown said metropolitan racing would still be programmed.
