A half-neck defeat was a tough pill to swallow for one big TAB punter who narrowly missed a large collect on Nakedtruth at Bendigo last week.
The Alison Alford-trained squaregaiter appeared to run to the front in the home straight before Star Down Under kicked back to score victory in the Aldebaran Park Trot.
One punter had placed $5000 on Nakedtruth at $3 for a collect of $15,000.
That bet was among the big wagers with the TAB on Victorian harness racing last week, with some of the others listed below.
