She's travelled a long way only to have zero fortune at the barrier draw, but with a dose of luck in the running and a fantastic filly Courtney Slater can cap a brilliant east coast tour at Albion Park on Saturday night.

Goodtime Heaven will attempt to win the 2018 Aqwa Constructions Queensland Oaks from gate 13, fresh from winning the Rock N Roll Heaven NSW Breeders Challenge three-year-old fillies' final, an eighth win in nine starts.

"She's back in top order again and doing quite well," Slater told RSN's Gait Speed yesterday.

"I thought she handled the (Breeders Challenge) series of three starts in three or four weeks really well and did a top job.

"She got a pretty easy run of it in her heat, had to do a little bit in her semi and obviously had to do it tough come finals day. That proves in itself she is going to be a pretty nice filly down the track."

That performance gave Slater confidence they should push on to Albion Park before returning for a tilt at Victoria's lucrative TAB Breeders Crown series.

"Plan one was always to come up for the (Breeders) Challenge here (at Menangle)," Slater said. "Plan B was the Queensland Oaks obviously, if all is well and the horse let's us know that she's pulled up and recovered well."
