A dollar from every drink sold at the popular outdoor pop-up bars tonight at Tabcorp Park Melton’s New Year’s Eve race meeting will be donated to the CFA.

“The brave firefighters throughout Victoria fighting to save lives and homes do such a wonderful job and given the current situation in East Gippsland, this is something Tabcorp Park wants to do to say thank you to the fireys,” Tabcorp Park General Manager Gayle Harvey said.

“Our outdoor pop-up bars are extremely popular, and with a crowd of about 8000 expected to be on course for this free event, we’ll hopefully raise a lot of funds for this great cause. We’ll also donate proceeds from our raffle directly to the CFA and promote the cause via the big screen.”

The first race at Melton is scheduled for 6.27pm with live, extended coverage of the night on Trots Vision at thetrots.com.au

The first heat of the new Mercury80 sprint series is the feature at 8pm.
