Junortoun horseman Garry Graham hit the jackpot when he and friend Eddie Jenkins outlaid $6,000 for the Batman mare Classic Kate at Dalgety’s Victorian Black Label Yearling Sale back in 1983.

Three-year-old gelding Golden Tribe took on the older horses in the Sharps Bakery Pace on Saturday night. He had to overcome the tricky barrier of 12. He was last with a lap to run but looped the field very impressively to win.
