Tarah McNamara will head to Tabcorp Park on Saturday night with her mare Delightful Mia hoping to get that elusive Melton win after 12 metro placings.
“I never complain, I was just happy to earn the three grand for second prizemoney, but I’d really love for her to win her metro. That would be the icing on the cake for her,” McNamara told Trots Life.
Delightful Mia holds a special place in the hearts of McNamara and her husband Jack, and not just because of the 10 wins and $87,260 in prizemoney.
McNamara said the mare is “our best mate”.
“She (Delightful Mia) was in practically all our (wedding) photos,” she said.
