A stunning night of trials at Geelong on Monday has reshaped the Blackbook with stars young and seasoned catching the eye.

Promising Perfect In Pink and The Lost Storm, who Emma Stewart and Clayton Tonkin rate the pick of their two-year-olds, were both added after impressing.

But there was also plenty to get excited about in the free-for-all ranks.

Pink Galahs scored in her trial but it was the impressive blitz to the line of Anton Golino's Im Ready Jet - another brilliant trotting mare - that proved particularly noteworthy.

Glenline and Kyvalley Pierro also caught the eye at Geelong, which also hosted an important step-out for Michael Stanley's Rocknroll Doo, who was joined by stablemate Rackemup Tigerpie in a standing start to ready him for a New Zealand Cup campaign.

The brilliant last-start winner of the VHRC Caduceus Classic will contest tonight's Jet Roofing Kilmore Pacing Cup.

Their trial replays are below, with the updated Blackbook at the bottom.

YARRA VALLEY 19/09/22

Trial 1: - MACHANE SAID hasn’t raced since winning two races in succession back in April. He was able to finish off in fast final sectionals to win the trial over KILLARA INSANITY, which has galloped at his two starts since coming from New South Wales. Considering KILLARA INSANITY has a low National Rating of 33 and he was only beaten by 3m in a last half of 56.9 seconds, he might be able to pick up a race in the near future. He is a chance at good odds at his Cranbourne assignment on Sunday. The undefeated 2yo gelding ROSANNA REBEL finished third in what might turn out to be a good form pointer. He unfortunately has come up with the outside of the front line in a heat of the Homegrown Classic at Bendigo on Wednesday.

Mile Rate: - 2.0.9            Last Half: - 56.9                Margins: - 3.5m, head

GEELONG 19/09/22

Trial 1: - ROCKNROLL DOO NZ prepared for his Kilmore Cup performance with a victory over RACKEMUP TIGERPIE in a standing start trial of just two horses. He found the lead comfortably, purposely eased away from the inside before the home turn to allow RACKEMUP TIGERPIE through and easily matched that pacer down the straight. It was a good confidence building performance for his effort in tonight’s big feature.

Mile Rate: - 2.11.5          Last Half: - 61.0                Margin: - 2m

Trial 3: - THE LOST STORM and PERFECT IN PINK have already proven their worth in their opening season of racing and continued an impressive campaign with solid trial performances. THE LOST STORM was without cover early, trailed the leader from the 1300m and moved away from the inside at the 300m mark. He just got the better of his stable mate, which set the speed from the mile marker. MISS BAY KING COLE led early, took a trail and ended up being three back on the markers. She ran a good race for third and SOHO SERAPHINE finished off nicely from last to pick up fourth and was never pushed out at any stage. THE LOST STORM will take plenty of beating in the opening heat of the Colts and Geldings Homegrown Classic series at Bendigo on Wednesday night. PERFECT IN PINK will also be strongly fancied in her heat on that program. MISS BAY KING COLE is awkwardly drawn in PERFECT IN PINK’s heat.

Mile Rate: - 1.59.4          Last Half: - 57.2                Margins: - Head, 3m

BLACKBOOKERS: - The Lost Storm & Perfect In Pink

Trial 5: - The outstanding mare PINK GALAHS pushed forward to find the lead, kicked clear before the home turn and held on to get the prize. IM READY JET does appear to be ready for a big preparation. She dropped out to last of the five runners and motored to the line for an eye-catching second. HOMONYM NZ trailed the leader and finished third just ahead of SWISS MISS NZ, which was three back on the markers throughout. HOMONYM met two proved Group 1 performers in the trial and will find the opposition at Maryborough on Monday to be much easier.

Mile Rate: - 2.0.8            Last Half: - 58.4                Margins: - 2m, 3m

BLACKBOOKER: - Im Ready Jet

Trial 6: - BLACK CAMEO is a gelding by Bling It On for trainer Michael Breen. He began quickly to find the front, pulled hard, established a big lead and kept on rolling to win nicely. He was getting a little weary late but he is still learning and showed the ability to win races. TWILIGHT BEACH finished second after trailing the leader and GOODTIME HAYLEY was able to weave a passage from sixth to pick up third. The eye-catching performance came from the Michael Barby prepared qualifier GLENLINE. The son of Betting Line settled five back on the markers and was detached from the main division with 1200m remaining. He hit the line strongly to finish fourth and might be worth following.

Mile Rate: - 2.0.0            Last Half: - 58.7                Margins: - 12m, 8m

BLACKBOOKER: - Glenline

Trial 7: - ALDEBARAN VERA trailed the leader and came to the outside with 500m remaining. She worked past the early leader OUR DENUEVE then held off the challengers to get the prize. KYVALLEY PIERRO hasn’t raced since finishing second in the Homegrown Classic but he looked very sharp in preparation for his first up display. He settled three back on the inside, was held up for a run at a vital stage and finished off fast without being fully extended. He makes his return at Cranbourne on Sunday afternoon and will prove to be very hard to beat. MUMPAYSTHEBILLS also produced a nice performance in third after settling six back on the markers and sustaining a long run from the 700m.

Mile Rate: - 2.2.4            Last Half: - 59.0                Margins: - 1m, 3m

BLACKBOOKER: - Kyvalley Pierro

Trial 8: - HURRIKANE FRANCO is an unraced juvenile pacer for trainer Joe Pace. He pushed past the early leader YNOBE DAKOTA to find the lead and completely dominated his rivals thereafter. There are some very handy two years olds currently racing but HURRIKANE FRANCO does look to have the ability to be able to win races. YNOBE DAKOTA meets a very strong field including Perfect In Pink in a heat of the Homegrown Classic at Bendigo on Wednesday night.

Mile Rate: - 2.0.1            Last Half: - 57.1                Margins: - 12m, 12m

Trial 9: - The star three years old pacer CATCH A WAVE was able to upset the open class with a narrow victory in a star studded ninth trial. He was content to take the trail behind the Chariots of Fire winner BETTER ECLIPSE and dashed along the sprint lane to claim victory in the last stride. BETTER ECLIPSE was nosed out on the line and TRIPLE EIGHT NZ was third after being three back on the markers before making his move with 500m remaining. JILLIBY SYLVESTER and MONA MIA were second last and last respectively.

Mile Rate: - 1.55.3          Last Half: - 55.7                Margins: - Nose, 15m

Trial 11: - COMMON COURTESY progressed forward to take the lead away from IRA POOLE NZ and set up a reasonable tempo. She raced keenly during the middle stages but had enough left at the finish to hold on and win. IRA POOLE NZ used the sprint lane and missed out by a narrow margin with TRINITYS DELIGHT finishing third after running home nicely from three back on the markers. MOMENTSLIKETHESE settled in the running lane (1-3) and picked up ground for fourth without being asked to do too much at the end.

Mile Rate: - 1.59.1          Last Half: - 56.8                Margins: - Nose, 5m

SHEPPARTON 20/09/22

Trial 1: - JUST HOPE produced a big performance to win the opening trial. She settled three back on the inside, made a move at the 400m and sprinted like a startled gazelle to race clear of the pack and win in fast time. LETSROCKLETSROLL settled five back on the inside and tried to sprint with JUST HOPE late. He is a very fast horse but couldn’t match JUST HOPE at the end, which shows just how impressive the victory was. SHANNONSTHEMAN came from last of the six runners and picked up ground for third so he appears to be a value hope at Mildura tomorrow night.

Mile Rate: - 1.56.5          Last Half: - 56.2                Margins: - 12m, 4m

Trial 3: - SCHOOL CAPTAIN continued his very impressive trial form when he led throughout and scored by a big margin from DEEWHY, which sat in the trail throughout. He recorded a very fast final half of 55.6 seconds so he does have a promising future. Both horses will contest the opening heat of the Homegrown Classic at Bendigo on Wednesday, where they will meet the impressive youngster The Lost Storm.

Mile Rate: - 1.59.6          Last Half: - 55.6                Margins: - 15m, 10m

Trial 4: - LOVE GUN hasn’t started since May but he is a handy trotter when he is able to put it altogether. He led throughout and even though the margin was narrow, put in a good display as he went to the line under a hard hold. SHESAWISH is a juvenile trotter and chased very hard after leading out and taking a trail behind LOVE GUN. She got within a neck of the winner, which has a National Rating of 54 and she beat the remainder of her rivals by a large margin so she might be worth following.

Mile Rate: - 2.7.0            Last Half: - 61.6                Margins: - Neck, 25m

MILDURA 21/09/22

Trial 2: - BELLA ABBY began quickly to find the lead and rolled along at a genuine tempo. She hasn’t filled a place in five starts to date and hasn’t raced for nearly a year but she was quite impressive in holding out COCO BEACH (raced without cover) and considering she has a low National Rating of 47, she might be able to find a suitable race in the near future. COCO BEACH is meeting a good field at Mildura tomorrow night but produced a strong performance in second and IMPRINCESSMIA was a large distance away in third position.

Mile Rate: - 1.59.7          Last Half: - 58.7                Margins: - 3m, 21m

Trial 4: - VELOX EQUUS was able to build some confidence leading into his performance at Mildura tomorrow night. He took on a very easy field but he showed his class at the end and he is very strong when racing at his peak. MARTHA LAVINIA sat in the one out and one back trail behind VELOX EQUUS for the final 900m and tried hard for second with RONZEL SONNY in third after trying to lead throughout. RONZEL SONNY might be able to run a cheeky race from the pole position at Mildura tomorrow night and MARTHA LAVINIA could also go well in that event despite drawing poorly.

Mile Rate: - 2.0.1            Last Half: - 59.4                Margins: - 20m, head
