Trial File followers won't have to wait long for a window of opportunity this week with analyst Craig Rail plucking a fancy from last week's Shepparton hit-outs who steps out tonight.

Jemsoms Pet impressed the Victorian trials watcher when he powered home to win by two metres from Santa Casa Beach and subsequently he's gone straight into the Blackbook.

Fellow Blackbookers Fugle and Spring In His Step also race at Shepparton tonight, while Captain Bellasario steps out at Cranbourne on Sunday.

SHEPPARTON 06/05/21

Trial 1: - ASK NO QUESTIONS (Skyvalley – Don’t Question This) won the opening trial on the program after leading throughout. He set up a slow tempo and was able to coast down to the line and win comfortably. IM BOBBY (Majestic Son – Aldebaran Peggy) trailed the leader throughout and was under pressure before the home turn but tried hard in the straight.

Trial 2: - It was a strong trial and might be a good form pointer for the oncoming weeks. JEMSOMS PET pushed forward to find the lead at the 1700m, took a trail at the 1400m and moved up without cover from the 500m to score nicely. He returns from a spell at Shepparton this evening where he appears to be a strong chance. SANTA CASA BEACH settled sixth on the inside and moved to the death seat at the 600m. He battled on strongly for second with the classy 3yo pacer NARUTAC PRINCE being third. NARUTAC PRINCE settled five back on the inside, moved into the one out and one back trail and came out three horses wide on the turn. He finished off solidly for third and appeared to have plenty in reserve. He backed up at Bendigo on Thursday night and defeated a strong field in a heat of the Australian Pacing Gold. DIAMOND ECLIPSE began very quickly to find the lead, took a trail and ended up being three back on the markers. He was held up for a run at a vital stage and held his ground in the straight. It was a very good performance for a horse with a National Rating of 53. He is racing in the opening race on the card at Shepparton tonight. DEALMAKER began quickly and was the first to the markers before being shuffled to four back on the inside mid-race. He finished fifth and was able to back up at Bendigo on Thursday night with a victory. OUR REACTOR settled fourth on the markers and circled around the field to find the lead at the 1400m. He tired over the latter stages and was last of the six runners to complete the course.

BLACKBOOKER: - Jemsoms Pet

Trial 3: - HERITAGE LADY settled seventh on the markers and was able to drive through to trail the leader on the home turn. She used the sprint and dashed home to get the prize ahead of OUR CHRISTIANO, which led out, took a trail at the 1500m then moved up without cover at the 600m. He battled on quite well for second in front of NINETEENTH MAN, which was fifth on the markers and came out four horses wide on the home turn. He worked home well for third with WILL HE PIKE (Heston Blue Chip – Miss Elvira 1.59.5, $23,938) being in fourth after being three back on the markers before gaining a one out and one back trail at the 500m and coming out three horses wide on the home turn. CAPTAIN BARNATO (Betting Line – Moremi Miss 2.0.6, $7,695) was wide on the first turn, moved into the one out and one back trail and finished in fifth. RACING DREAM (Racing Hill – Shadow Flag 1.55.3, $38,180) was without cover and pressured the leader early, gained the lead at the 1500m and finished ahead of ASHINCHARGE, which settled six back on the markers.

Trial 4: - TREASURE RAINBOW was six back on the inside, moved away from the markers (1-2) and came out three horses wide at the 300m. She finished off strongly to score nicely from ABETTASECRET, which settled four back on the markers, pulled hard and got through to trail the lead on the home turn. She was held up for a run at a vital stage but finished off strongly to run an eye-catching second. TREASURE RAINBOW was placed in a heat of the Australian Pacing Gold at Bendigo on Thursday night and ABETTASECRET is poorly drawn against a strong field at Shepparton tonight. CRYSTAL FLAME began quickly to find the lead, ran along at an even tempo and was run down over the final stages. She finished third ahead of HURRIKAANI (Hurrikane Kingcole – Art of Magic), which settled down seventh and picked up ground over the latter stages. PIPPI was without cover early, dropped to be fifth on the markers and held her ground over the concluding stages. GIANNIS AY MACRAY was three back on the inside, moved into the one out and one back trail and finished sixth. SHELBY GRACE trailed the leader, moved up without cover at the half mile marker and hung out under pressure. She finished ahead of BUS STOP (A Rocknroll Dance – Cunning Kate 1.58.8, $51,735), which broke stride 50m after the start, lost 20m and settled down last on the markers.

Trial 5: - IMPERIAL COUNTESS stepped away safely from the standing start and was able to run to the lead. She set up a slow tempo throughout and was able to cruise to victory without being extended. She finished unplaced but had little luck at Bendigo on Thursday night. SEEYOUINMYDREAMS (Muscle Hill – Figment 2.6.1, $44,003) was without cover early, dropped back to be last of the three runners and moved into the death seat again at the 600m mark. She tried hard for second with MILLEE (Rock N Roll Heaven – Jovial Jurno Lombo 1.57.6, $24,898) being in third after trailing the leader throughout.

Trial 6: - SPRING IN HIS STEP was in the one out and one back, moved around into the death seat at the 1400m and proved too strong over the latter stages to continue his excellent trial form. MY TIME TO SHINE (Sunshine Beach – My Lively Lass 1.58.5, $27,708) was without cover early before gaining a one out and one back trail behind SPRING IN HIS STEP. He battled on quite well for second with BIDE OUR TIME being an eye-catching third. She was three back on the markers, was held up for a run at a vital stage and finished fast through the middle without being fully extended. She backed up with a game third at big odds in a heat of the Australian Gold at Bendigo on Thursday night. The trotter GARSHAWAY began quickly to lead, took a trail at the 1600m and battled on well for fourth. He returns from a long spell at Shepparton this evening. MISS LEMON began quickly to lead, took a trail then found the lead again at the 1600m. She finished fifth in front of LOMBO EYE WATCH, which settled last on the markers. ASSASSINS GOLD (Western Terror – Pyrites 1.57.9, $59,008) settled seventh on the markers, moved into the running lane (1-2) and finished at the tail of the field.

BACCHUS MARSH 08/05/21

Trial 1: - The Tasmanian Derby winner ALBY TWO CHAINS finished fifth in a Metropolitan 3yo event at his latest Melton performance. He was able to take out the opening trial ahead of REBECCAS ART, which hasn’t raced since January but is due to resume her campaign of racing at Charlton on Monday, where she is a very good chance. CARUSO STAR hasn’t raced since an unplaced effort in February but finished in third ahead of BRONSKI ROYAL and the trotter CYCLONE S ADAMS was the last one to complete the course. ALBY TWO CHAINS finished fourth in a heat of the Australian Gold at Bendigo on Thursday night.

Trial 2: - PATCHED hasn’t raced since a runaway victory in September. He was able to win the trial by a large margin over EVERYSECONDCOUNTS. MY LINDY ANGELS hasn’t raced since being stood down to trial in December. She finished third ahead of GEE CEE CALDER with RIGHT OF REPLY being in fifth position. ORPHAN ANDY (Andover Hall – Miss Warbucks 1.58.2, $148,887) is a nicely bred juvenile trotter that was taking on older horses and finished at the tail of the field. PATCHED returns from a spell at Shepparton this evening, EVERYSECONDCOUNTS will race at Charlton on Monday and MY LINDY ANGELS is scheduled to race at Melton on Tuesday.

Trial 3: - SEBS CHOICE recorded a brilliant mile rate of 1.57.8 when he scored impressively by a large margin. It was a very good hit-out for his effort in heat of the Australian Gold at Bendigo on Thursday, where he scored nicely. SCHNAPPSHOT finished in second position ahead of the Sergio Lenardi trained mare TREMBITA, which is due to race at Melton on Tuesday night. MIRARI hasn’t raced since early March and finished in fourth position ahead of the qualifier BILUM (Mr Feelgood – Silvia Fisher 2.1.8, $14,894) with EVOS DREAM (Pet Rock – Dashem) being last of the six runners to complete the course.

Trial 4: - BETTOR BE THE BOMB hasn’t raced since being unplaced in the Hunter Cup in February. He was racing in great form during last preparation and was clearly the class runner of the trial. He won the trial comfortably ahead of AROCKNATTHEPARK, which hasn’t raced since February. BETTOR BE THE BOMB returns from a spell at Melton tomorrow night. ITS BACK IN THE DAY was racing in great form last season at Metropolitan level. He hasn’t raced since July but he was able to finish in third position ahead of BLISSFULL STRIDE. FRANCO finished in fifth spot and is racing at Melton on Tuesday night, with SMART LITTLE SHARD being last of the six runners to greet the judge.

Trial 5: - THE REGULATOR hasn’t raced since a tenth at Terang in September, where he was stood down to trial. He was able to win by a narrow margin over DADS MY HERO. RING MY BELLS was able to win at Geelong at her latest race track performance and kept the campaign rolling to finish a close up third with AJAYS RACER (P B Bullville – Globes Mistake 2.3.2, $67,450) being fourth. MANO DE DIOS is a trotter and was taking on the pacers. He finished at the tail of the field. RINGS MY BELLS continues her campaign at Cranbourne on Sunday.

Trial 6: - MITZI SAID is a speedy juvenile pacer, which has been placed twice this season. She was able to take out the sixth event in front of the nicely bred pacer ROCK ON CAESAR (Captaintreacherous – Pembrook Caesar 1.53.0, $77,432). KHANS CREED (A Rocknroll Dance – Talk Safely 1.58.1, $20,103) finished a distant third ahead of the Nathan Purdon trained APEX (Betting Line – Diamond Rock 1.59.4, $8,726) with EXCLUSIVE MARIA (Always B Miki – Saved A Corka 1.59.1, $130,397) being the last runner across the line. SPORTSRAMA (Sportswriter – Rocknroll Rama) failed to complete the course.

Trial 7: - RENDEZVOUS was able to win by a large margin on his way to his first up performance at Charlton on Monday. He was able to defeat MELODY BEACH, which finished sixth at her first run back from a break. DEADLY ERROR finished a distant third on his way to his first up performance at Cranbourne on Sunday with MISTER NIEN being in fourth position. WHY NOT DREAM (Shadow Play – Why Comment) is a qualifier for trainer Scott Garbutt and finished in fifth position with ARTS CLASSIC being last of the six runners to cross the line.

BENDIGO 09/05/21

Trial 1: - BARBS GIFT was without cover in the early stages and pushed forward to find the lead shortly after the start. She enjoyed a nice run in the leading role and dashed well clear over the latter stages to win by a large margin. CASA ALBERTA (Angus Hall – Casa Fundada, placed $19,940) settled three back on the markers and worked home fairly well for second. She will make her debut at Cranbourne on Sunday. SAN ANTONIA ROSE (Bacardi Lindy – Rosetta) broke stride at the start and lost valuable ground. She tacked onto the group at the 700m mark and came to the outside with 500m remaining. She finished off strongly for a game third. WAIKARE COLLEEN led out then took cover and finished in fourth position ahead of BEAUTYBOUCHEA (Danny Bouchea – Yankee Surprise), which settled five back on the markers. BLITZER I HOPE (Blitzthemcalder – Uncertain Temper) was four back on the markers and was last of the six runners to complete the course.

Trial 2: - MIRAKURU began quickly to find the lead and was able to run along at a genuine tempo. He had a good kick left in the run to the finish and scored comfortably. BELLADONNA GIRL trailed the leader and never peeled to the outside at any stage. She went to the line strongly with plenty in reserve and it was a good performance in view of her first up effort at Charlton on Monday. AJAY BREEZY ROSE was three back on the markers and battled on fairly well for third with SIR JULIAN settling down last of the four runners and moving into the death seat at the 500m mark but peaking on his run late.

Trial 3: - WHATA ROLLER settled last of the five runners, moved to the outside at the quarter pole and came out three horses wide on the home turn. She finished off boldly to win the trial with MISS MORAINE being in second position after trying to lead throughout. SALSBOY settled three back on the inside, moved away from the markers on the home turn and finished in third spot. TELAVIZE (Tell All – Formalize) was fourth after trailing the leader and RINELLA (Village Jasper – Sharnica) was the last one home after being four back on the markers throughout.

Trial 4: - WHEREYABINTWISTIN (A Rocknroll Dance – Whereyawheeliebin 2.0.3, $20,628) was three back on the markers, moved into the one out and one back trail on the turn and came out wide in the home straight. He produced a big finish and scored with plenty up his sleeve. PAS GUARANTEE was four back on the markers and moved into the death seat at the bell. He produced a strong performance and kicked on well to finish in second position. RACING TIME (Racing Hill – My Prima Bella) trailed the leader, used the sprint lane. He finished in third position but broke stride in the final 20m of the trial. BARAK ENOBRAC attempted to lead throughout but was run down from the home turn and finished in fourth position. SWEET EMMYLOU (Sweet Lou – Inevitable) was five back on the markers, broke stride at the 1100m and lost ten metres hence dropping out to the tail of the field. She found the one out and one back trail in the back straight on the final occasion but ended up finishing fifth with HURRIKANE DUSTY being at the tail of the field after settling six back on the markers early.

BLACKBOOKER: - Whereyabintwistin

Trial 5: - SIMULANT (Angus Hall – False Gem 2.2.7, $178,219) was seventh on the inside, moved into the running lane at the bell (1-2) and came out three horses wide at the 600m. He finished strongly and was able to draw clear to get the prize. He is nicely bred and is set to make his debut at Melton on Tuesday night. MEL DURANT led and was run down late but managed to hold down second. PRIMZ LUCK finished in third after trailing the leader throughout and TISEH LUCKY LADY was fourth after following him for the duration. Both PRIMZ LUCK and TISEH LUCKY LADY finished unplaced at Bendigo on Thursday night. LADY LIL raced without cover and faded late. She was able to beat home SPIDER DUNBAR sat in the one out and one back trail and finished ahead of TRUMPIT LIL, which settled at the tail and broke stride at the 300m.

Trial 6: - HESTON CASH (Heston Blue Chip – Sunrose Mary 1.58.1, $51,673) was fifth on the markers, moved into the one out and one back trail at the 900m and got a nice run through the middle, hitting the front at the 500m and was able to hold on and dead-heat for first with BLAZIN CRACKER. BLAZIN CRACKER was sixth on the markers, moved up without cover in the last lap and hung out three horses wide in the back straight on the final occasion presenting HESTON CASH with the run. He was able to draw level with HESTON CASH on the line and wasn’t extended at any stage. SHE SPARKLES (McCardle – Hanover Chance) trailed the leader and battled on fairly well for third with THE CHEROKEE GIRL (Roll With Joe – Jazzy Malone 1.59.0, $15,400) being in fourth position after being four back on the markers and moving into the running lane over the final circuit (1-2). She finished ahead of INFERRNO (Courage Under Fire – Allfouru), which secured fifth after being three back on the markers throughout. ILLAWONG KELLIE attempted to lead all of the way and was overtaken with 300m remaining.

Trial 7: - ILLAWONG STARDUST began quickly to lead and rolled along at a reasonable tempo. She was left well clear when RIGONDEAUX galloped on the home turn and she was able to score nicely at the end. BARHOON was three back on the markers and finished second with RIGONDEAUX being third. RIGONDEAUX was a big winning chance on the home turn before he galloped. He trailed the leader, came to the outside and picked up ground quickly before making an error. He is racing at Melton tomorrow night and is meeting a strong field so he can’t afford to make a mistake in running. CHISSY was last of the four runners throughout.

TABCORP PARK, MELTON 11/05/21

Trial 1: - DONTOUCH THE DUCO was three back on the markers, moved to the outside at the 600m and proved too strong in the run to the finish. He returns from a spell at Melton tomorrow night. WEBSTER HALL (Andover Hall – La Coocaracha 1.58.5, $428,911) trailed the leader and moved out three horses wide in the home straight. He finished off solidly and went to the line with plenty in reserve. ZOOM ALONG DREAMER was last of the three runners to cross the line after setting the speed.

Mile Rate: - 2.7.4            Final Half: - 60.02    Margins: - 1.5m, 7.5m

Trial 2: - AZTERIAN began quickly and was able to find the lead. He ran along at a reasonable tempo and was able to hold his rivals safely at bay. HEART OF SAHARA (Betting Line – Sahara Miss 1.54.4, $66,463) trailed the leader, moved to the outside at the quarter pole and raced very greenly over the concluding stages. CAPTAIN COACH (Captaintreacherous – Glitterazzi) was last of the three runners throughout and dropped off before the home turn before finishing well in the final 100m.

Trial 3: - MONTELENA was five back on the markers and moved to the outside with 900m remaining. She was giving the leader EURYPHAESSA a big start but finished off quickly to get the prize. EURYPHAESSA began quickly to lead, kicked well clear on the home turn but tired in the final 50m. She was run down late but she beat the remainder of the field by a big margin. HEY LISTEN was three back on the markers, moved through to trail the leader at the 600m and finished a distant third. HEY LISTEN returns from a spell at Melton on Tuesday night. SHEZ A DOOD trailed the leader, moved away from the inside at the 600m and failed to run on. LA BELLA FIGURA settled four back on the markers and finished fifth with COTE DE OR (Love You – Donegal Flat) being in last position after galloping at the start then again at the 1200m.

Trial 4: - SEASIDE SISTER settled five back on the markers and moved into the death seat at the 600m. She sustained a good run to get the prize with MADAME WEST (Western Terror – My Lishi 2.0.7, $32,060) finishing in second position after trailing the leader and using the sprint lane. TACTIC STRIDE (He’s Watching – Gina Stride) was without cover early before moving into the lead at the 1800m. He was run down in the final stages but still managed to finish in third position. ILLAWONG AWESOME was four back on the markers and moved to the outside with 600m remaining. She finished ahead of SNAZOLA (3 back markers).

Mile Rate: - 2.2.6            Final Half: - 60.84    Margins: - 1.5m, 3m

Trial 5: - AORANGI began quickly and was able to run to the lead shortly after the start. He set up a moderate tempo but dashed home in fast final sectionals to get the prize by a large margin. He is a winning chance if he does everything right from the pole position at Melton on Tuesday night. CLAUDYS ICEMAN (Pegasus Spur – All Finesse) began quickly and took a trail behind AORANGI shortly after the start. He couldn’t go with the winner over the final stages but he is yet to make his debut and AORANGI has won four races to date. CLAUDYS ICEMAN will make his first race track appearance at Charlton on Monday. MY LINDY ANGELS was three back on the inside and finished third with ZINGARA LASS (4 back markers) being fourth across the line. RYMES (Majestic Son – Genayas Girl) broke stride in the score up and failed to complete the course.

Mile Rate: - 2.5.3            Final Half: - 59.44    Margins: - 23m, 8m

Trial 6: - PRESTIGE STRIDE trailed the leader, raced without cover from the 800m and dashed away over the final stages to win brilliantly. He finished off in a slick final half of 56.92 seconds and beat a handy field so it appears as though he is nearing another victory. PLATINUM STRIDE settled fifth on the inside, moved into the one out and one back trail at the 500m and ran home well late for a game second. He backs up at Melton on Tuesday night. CALF PEN was four back on the inside, moved into the death seat momentarily and was able to angle back for cover at the 700m mark. He finished in third position with ISITWRONGTOBEXCITED being fourth after trying to lead throughout. CIVIS ROMANUS (Julius Caesar – Aldebaranblissbomb) was three back on the markers and finished last of the five runners.

BLACKBOOKER: - Prestige Stride

Trial 7: - GOODTIME HEAVEN trailed the leader and moved away from the inside at the 500m mark. She produced a powerful finishing burst and was able to dash well clear to win very impressively. SAHARA TIGER finished in second position after trying to lead throughout. SOEXTRA made ground on SAHARA TIGER via the sprint lane but was last of the three runners to pass the winning post. SOEXTRA is racing against a handy field at Melton tomorrow night.

Trial 8: - TIPOFTHETONGUE was three back on the inside, moved into the one out and one back trail at the 600m and came out three horses wide at the 400m when she scored comfortably. SIMPLY HEAVENLY attempted to lead throughout and was run down over the final stages. MAGIC CRAFT was four back on the inside and appeared to be under pressure from the 600m, dropped out to last but came again in the straight and finished off handily for third position. She returns from a spell at Cranbourne on Sunday. JUMPSTART trailed the leader and finished ahead of CEE CEE NORMAN, which was out of position at the start and settled down at the tail of the field.

Trial 9: - DIAMOND PARTY settled sixth on the outside (1-2), came out three horses wide from the 600m and produced a strong finish to get up and score on the line. DAN FERNANDO showed very good gate speed to lead, ran along at an even tempo and finished in second position with ROCK ON SHADOW being in third after trailing the leader throughout. MOONLITE DRIVE was three back on the markers and finished in fourth with FRANCO (1-1) being in fifth spot. CELESTIAL TREKKER raced without cover and beat home his stable mate MYSTIC CASTLE, which was last of the seven runners throughout. Both CELESTIAL TREKKER and MYSTIC CASTLE are backing up at Cranbourne on Sunday.

Trial 10: - ROYAL CHARLOTTE settled down last of the four runners, came to the outside with 600m remaining, sprinted quickly in the back straight and was quickly able to get the better of the early leader ANDOVER SUN. She sustained the run and was able to win by a large margin. She is competing in a heat of the Metropolitan Trot at Melton tomorrow night and is a value chance on that performance. ANDOVER SUN led out and enjoyed a nice run mid-race but was gunned down over the final stages. BLUE SPARKLER settled three back on the markers and finished a distant third with CLAUDY AN GUS finishing last after trailing the leader throughout.

SHEPPARTON 11/05/21

Trial 1: - PATSBEACHSTORM began very quickly to find the lead, ran along at a genuine tempo and won with plenty left in the locker. HEREHECOMES trailed the leader and never peeled to the outside at any stage. It is doubtful he would have been able to run down PATSBEACHSTORM but he did appear to have something in reserve. ALBAROCK settled last on the markers, moved to the outside with 500m remaining and sprinted quickly up to the home turn before holding his ground in the straight. TUFFANUFF was three back on the markers throughout and was the last of the four horses to finish.

Trial 2: - WALKABOUT CASCADE was three back on the markers, moved to the outside with 300m remaining and finished off best to get the prize. EYES ON FLAIR (Majestic Son – Dream of Flair 2.5.5, $17,484) was slow out and settled down a clear last, got to fourth but was still 35m behind the leader in the back straight, ran home strongly out wide on the track late and ran an eye-catching second. TENLILFONZIES was third across the line after setting the speed throughout. NICKYS SON led early, took a trail and raced roughly in the final 300m hence losing all momentum. IM BOBBY (Majestic Son – Aldebaran Peggy) was four back on the markers, broke stride at the 1800m and finished at the tail of the field.

Trial 3: - CRESCO GOLDIGGER began quickly to lead, copped some pressure in the early stages and was able to outstay his rivals in the run to finish. BUS STOP (A Rocknroll Dance – Cunning Kate 1.58.8, $51,735) was four back on the markers early then three back and gained a one out and one back trail at the 700m mark. He finished second with ARCHAA (A Rocknroll Dance – Shes Pinkalicious) being in third after leaving a trailing position to race without cover from the 1800m mark. NANANELLIE was without cover in the early stages, angled onto the markers to be four back and finished fourth with OUTLOOK being fifth after being five back on the markers throughout. ASHINCHARGE led out then took a trail before dropping out to sixth and MONA LISA CAM (Million Dollar Cam – Lombo Mona Lisa 1.59.2, $81,298) was last of the seven runners throughout.

Trial 4: - ALDEBARAN PHOEBE settled down last of the four runners, used inside runs all of the way and trailed the leader on the home turn before using the sprint lane and dashing home late to get the prize. MILLEE (Rock N Roll Heaven – Jovial Jurno Lombo 1.57.6, $24,898) trailed the leader and moved away from the inside on the home turn. She battled away for second with BRING THE ACTION being in third position after showing good gate speed to lead, racing fiercely and setting up a big lead in the middle stages. JESSIES SON trailed the leader and moved away from the inside at the 500m but ended up finishing in fourth position.

Trial 5: - ATLANTAS was fifth on the inside, moved up without cover at the 1300m and was able to outstay her rivals in the run to the finish. CAPTAINS DAUGHTER was sixth on the markers and moved into the one out and one back trail at the 1300m mark. She tried hard in the straight but couldn’t peg back ATLANTAS in the straight. REPUTATIONAL was without cover early, found the front on the first turn, took a trail and used the sprint lane. He finished in third with GIANNIS AY MACRAY being in fourth position after having little luck. He was four back on the markers, got held up for a run at a vital stage, switched back to the sprint lane and worked home quite nicely over the final stages. CRESCO THREEPEAT led out, took a trail then found the lead again at the 1400m. He finished fifth with HURRIKAANI (Hurrikane Kingcole – Art of Magic) in sixth after being three back on the markers throughout. SPANMATILDA and JACKSBOY were second last and last for most of the journey with JACKSBOY being very wide on the home turn.

Trial 1: - FLIRTING began quickly and was able to lead her only other rival VAPAR BRENDA comfortably into the first corner. She set up a slow tempo and was able to dash away from VAPAR BRENDA at the end to win unchallenged.

Trial 2: - COBBER trailed the leader on the first turn, appeared to be under pressure before the home corner and lost ground but rallied in the straight to win easily. REFORMED attempted to lead throughout and ran along at a good tempo. He only started to tire in the final 100m and ran a reasonable trial despite being last of the two runners to complete the course.

Trial 3: - It was another field of just two runners in the third trial with IRON CHARIOT leading all of the way to defeat VAPAR FORTUNE (Used To Me – Pocket of Fortune 2.1.8, $36,703). IRON CHARIOT led and scored comfortably while VAPAR FORTUNE lost ground in the final lap after racing roughly. IRON CHARIOT returns from a break at Melton on Tuesday night.

Trial 4: - IDLE TIMES trailed the leader and moved away from the inside with 400m remaining. He kicked on strongly in the run to the finish to win over MORNINGS, which attempted to lead throughout. TRIPLE ZED settled down last of the three, moved to the outside on the home turn and picked up some ground over the concluding stages.

Trial 5: - SAINT CALDER trailed the leader and moved away from the inside with 400m remaining. He dashed away at the end and continued his good trial form to get the prize over SCAR (Danny Bouchea – Kilmainham 2.3.7, $11,150), which did very well for a juvenile trotter taking on older horses. He settled three back on the inside, moved to the outside approaching the home turn and tried hard in the latter stages. He makes his debut at Melton on Tuesday night and is not without a chance. COUNTESS CHIRON began brilliantly to find the lead and raced fiercely in the early stages, establishing a good lead. She was run down late and finished third with ELLEN RUVAL being the last of the four runners throughout.

Trial 6: - SHEZAGEM settled last of the three runners after being without cover early, angled away from the inside at the 400m and finished off with the most momentum to get the prize. SHIPS SUCCESS led out, took a trail at the 1500m behind ALFIE ALWAYS and came to the outside in the home straight. He was able to pick up second in the straight with ALFIE ALWAYS yielding ground late into third.

Trial 1: - ROBBIE ROYALE was three horses wide early before pushing forward and finding the lead with a mile remaining. He set up a moderate tempo and cruised to victory with plenty in reserve. WHIZZBANG DAN trailed the leader early before ending up being three back on the markers. He moved to the outside at the 500m mark and was able to slide into second. MAJESTIC CONNIES was without cover early, found the lead then took a trail. She battled into third with ALDEBARAN JAYTEE (4 back markers, 1-1 at the 300m) being last of the four runners to cross the line.

Trial 2: - DABYMINGA trailed the leader and moved away from the inside with 500m remaining. He quickly hit the lead at the quarter pole, established a decent break and was never in danger of defeat. IM TERRORTORIAL settled four back on the inside, moved away from the pegs at the 400m mark and chased hard for a gallant second. PRIDE OF MARY (Grinfromeartoear – Dancin With Jodi 1.59.3, $12,773) finished in third position after setting the speed throughout. DARKIES LAST (Hurrikane Kingcole – Lil Safe) was the last one to finish after being three back on the markers throughout.

Trial 3: - MALCOLMS RHYTHM began quickly and was able to slide to the lead before the first turn. He dashed home in a quick final 800m of 56.6 seconds to score untroubled. BREVITY settled three back on the markers, moved to the outside at the 600m mark and tried hard for second. SIRLETIC is a classy horse and showed that he is close to his best form with an excellent third. He was last on the markers, moved away from the inside on the turn and made up a lot of ground in fast final sectionals and without being fully extended. MISTER FINNIGAN began quickly to find the markers first then took cover. He finished ahead of NUREYEV, which was four back on the markers before moving into the one out and one back trail with 600m remaining.

Trial 4: - LIFEINTHEBALANCE trailed the leader ALDEBARAN YAHTZEE and came to the outside at the quarter pole. The pair dominated the trial with LIFEINTHEBALANCE getting the better of ALDEBARAN YAHTZEE over the final stages. LIFEINTHEBALANCE is competing at Cranbourne on Tuesday night. STORMY WILLIS (Yankee Spider – Diamond Copy) finished in third position after running home quite well from five back on the inside. ANGSKI settled in third and beat home FAIRFIELD FLYER (4 back markers) and EMU BOB (I’m Stately – Biggies 2.7.1, $28,806) was last throughout after breaking at the start and losing approximately 50m.

Trial 5: - MITZI SAID began quickly to lead and set up a slow tempo. She used her high speed at the end and was able to win easily, making it two trial victories within a week. I WANT IT ALL (Sportswriter – Operative Asset) trailed the leader and galloped momentarily on the home turn. He recovered to finish second and CAPTAIN BARNATO (Betting Line – Moremi Miss 2.0.6, $7,695) was inconvenienced on the home turn then missed out on finishing second by a narrow margin.

Trial 6: - POWDERKEG settled four back on the markers, came to the outside in the back straight and hit the lead on the home turn. He had to battle hard over the final stages but was able to win by a narrow margin. NORMANDY BELLE has a National Rating of 50 and put in an enormous effort to finish in second position. She trailed the leader, came away from the inside on the home turn and flew home late to be beaten by a narrow margin. FULL NOISE finished third after setting the speed and OUR THUNDER BUDDY (3 back markers) was the last one to finish after breaking stride with 400m remaining.

Trial 7: - THE LONGEST DAY settled four back on the inside, came to the outside at the 700m and hit the front when leaving the back straight. She burst away from her rivals to win by 25m. MACHANICAL trailed the leader and tried hard for second with LETTUCEVENTILATE being a distant third after coming from three back on the markers. WHATISAYGOES (Grinfromeartoear – Crystal Journey 2.0.2, $113,185) attempted to lead throughout but was run down from the 400m mark and SPEEDY REACTOR (Auckland Reactor – Gotalotofspeed 2.0.0, $26,493) was last of the five runners throughout, yielding ground from the 800m.

Trial 1: - IM PRINCESS BELLA (A Rocknroll Dance – Missy Elliott) is an unraced juvenile filly for trainer Leroy O’Brien. She won the opening trial by a large margin over RUSTIC RUBRA (Union Guy – Fire Lilly) with the trotter ELLEN RUVAL finishing last of the three runners.
