The little full-sister to one of the most exhilirating fillies Australian trots has seen in the past decade has given a hint on the trials circuit that she may well also be made of special stuff.

Kiki Beach, Cyclone Betty's fifth successful foal for Fusinato Bloodstock, impressed in her trial at Cranbourne last Saturday, earning a place in the Trial File Blackbook ahead of her debut next Tuesday night for Gary and Deb Quinlan.

Big sister Our Waikiki Beach won 40 starts and more than a million dollars in stakes, including a 17-race winning streak to kick off her Australian career.

Kiki Beach will get her chance to prove her standing at Cranbourne, when she will go toe-to-toe with Jayne Davies' debutant Machane Said, who was also impressive in his trial.

SHEPPARTON 06/01/22

Trial 1: - GOODTIME SOMETIME began quickly to find the lead shortly after the start. He appeared to be a little lazy in the front running role and had to be urged along for some distance but he ended up winning softly at the end. He is still learning and should keep improving. He is racing in the opening event at Melton this evening. CHOIR QUEEN trailed the leader and moved to the outside at the 300m before battling away for second place. KELLYS DELIGHT dropped back to be last of the eight runners, moved away from the markers to move into the death seat with 1100m remaining and continued to edge forward. He ended up being three horses wide on the home turn when CHOIR QUEEN made her move and battled away in the straight for third. SPLIT EAR was four back on the inside, weaved a passage before switching into the sprint lane and finished fourth. Like GOODTIME SOMETIME, he also is competing in the opening event at Melton tonight. HAMMERS HELLPATROL settled down in seventh position and hit the line strongly under a firm hold so he should have finished a lot closer than fifth. SHEZONTHEROCKS settled three back on the markers and beat home the qualifier OHHEMMJAY CRESCO (Sunshine Beach – Illawong Fabulous 2.0.7, $33,790) (6 back markers, 1-2 at 600m) with the trotter DYNAMIC LEGACY (5 back markers, 1-1 at 700m) being the last one to complete the course. DYNAMIC LEGACY is taking on a quality field including Powderkeg and Majestuoso in the Derby Royale FFA at Shepparton tomorrow night.

MAJOR DELICO settled last of the six runners, moved into the one out and one back trail, came out three horses wide on the home turn and finished off well for third. BREVITY was in fourth position after being five back on the inside before trying to make a move with 500m remaining. MY GOLDEN EAGLE settled six back on the inside, moved up without cover at the half mile marker and continued to make ground on his rivals apart from the winner HEADBANGER over the latter stages. He worked into second position and put in a nice trial performance albeit being beaten by a large margin. GALACTIC GAL was in various positions but was able to circle around at the 1300m mark to find the back of HEADBANGER so she ended up being given every chance. She battled into a distant third with SPRING LINE (Betting Line – Spring To Life 2.2.4, $1,688) being fourth after trailing the leader early but getting shuffled to five back on the markers with several of his rivals making mid-race moves. Trial 4: - BACARDI WOOD stepped away quickly from the standing start and found the lead. He enjoyed a good run throughout and was able to stave off the challenge of PESCO POLLO (Love You – Cold Sister USA 1.57.3, $262,361) to win by a narrow margin. He returns from a spell at Charlton on Monday, where he strikes a suitable assignment. PESCO POLLO is out of the former classy American bred mare Cold Sister and did well to get within a head of the leader. She was slow out and missed the start by 15m, settled three back on the markers and got through to trail the leader on the home turn before using the sprint lane. Both the winner BACARDI WOOD and the second placed PESCO POLLO had something in reserve at the finish. MONTANA MUSCLE stepped away nicely to trail the leader, came to the outside in the latter stages and finished a distant third. She is making her debut in the same race as Machane Said at Cranbourne on Tuesday and it should be an entertaining clash between the pair. OCEANIQUE settled five back on the inside and finished off well over the latter stages for a game second. GEE HEE ROCKS began well, worked to the front at the 1800m and set up a slow tempo but was run down over the concluding stages. He is capable of better and is a chance at Cranbourne on Tuesday night. ILLAWONG DANNY led out then took a trail and finished fourth ahead of the trotter LUNCHWITHARTHUR (6 back markers), which backs up at Cranbourne on Tuesday, with GOZO SUNSHINE being the last one home after settling four back on the inside around the first turn.
