Craig Rail reckons Lorry Formosa’s maiden pacer See You There might be ready to break through for a win and it could be as soon as this Sunday at Cranbourne.

The daughter of Artistic Fella impressed at the Bacchus Marsh trials on Saturday, recording handy time in a runaway success over the classy trotter One Over All.

She steps out in the Cranbourne Fencing Maiden Pace this weekend and will be driven by Richie Caruana from the outside of the back row.

See You There was one of five Blackbook entries for Rail this week, with Sheza Pleasure, Soho Lumine, The Rocknroll King and New Yorker also making the file.

TRIAL REPORT

SHEPPARTON 09/06/22

Trial 3: - VATICAL HILL settled three back on the markers, moved into the one out and one back trail at the 1200m and was left stranded without cover at the 800m. He battled on well in the run to the finish to take out the trial. SHEZA PLEASURE prepared for her first up effort at Shepparton on Thursday with an eye-catching second. She settled sixth on the markers, moved into the running lane (1-2) at the 500m mark before coming out four horses wide on the home turn and powering home late. She was severely checked and had no luck whatsoever when resuming and is ready to break through for a win.

Mile Rate: - 2.4.7             Last Half: - 60.5                Margins: - Nose, head

BLACKBOOKER: - Sheza Pleasure

Trial 4: - MAX DELIGHT was the only open class pacer competing in the trial and went on to an expected victory. He settled three back on the inside, moved away from the markers with 600m remaining, quickly hit the front at the quarter pole and jogged to victory. HERITAGE LADY trailed the leader EL BOSTON and tried to chase MAX DELIGHT in the final 400m. She was holding her ground until peaking at the 100m mark but it was a tidy display considering the large difference between the two horses on the National Ratings scale.

Mile Rate: - 1.59.6           Last Half: - 60.1                Margins: - 15m, 40m

BACCHUS MARSH 11/06/22

Trial 2: - QUALITY SUNSET has always shown immense potential but her manners have let her down throughout her career. Hopefully for her connections, she is back on track after her runaway trial success over AMUNET. AMUNET boasts handy form and is returning from a spell at Kilmore on Tuesday night, where she is a very good chance of succeeding.

Mile Rate: - 2.7.4             Last Half: - 62.4                Margins: - 15m, 8m

Trial 4: - BEE BEE BEROC broke stride several times and finished down the track at Yarra Valley at his latest attempt. He was able to bounce back and win his trial over ALDEBARAN SAVANNAH by thirty metres. The juvenile trotters WYLDCAT, MIX IT UP and EQUAL AND OPPOSITE finished third, fourth and fifth respectively. The trio finished in the same order at a Melton trial a week earlier, with WYLDCAT winning the event and that might be a good lead into their debut performances at Kilmore on Tuesday night.

Mile Rate: - 2.5.4             Last Half: - 60.7                Margins: - 30m, 2m

Trial 6: - The Chariots Of Fire winner and Miracle Mile place getter BETTER ECLIPSE was able to zoom around the track in an impressive display. He finished off in sizzling final sectionals of 55.4 and 27.7 seconds so he is right on track for the Winter Carnival. LA CAPTAIN is competing at Melton tomorrow night, where he will be strongly fancied. He finished second ahead of stable mate MOMENTSLIKETHESE and the handy mare ALICE KAY is back from a Western Australian campaign and finished in fourth.

Mile Rate: - 1.58.6           Last Half: - 55.4                Margins: - 15m, 8m

Trial 7: - SEE YOU THERE has only had the one run since December, where placed at Cranbourne and might be ready to break through for a win. He recorded handy time in a runaway success over the classy trotter ONE OVER ALL with STAR OF BROADWAY finishing in third position. ONE OVER ALL is poorly drawn but should run a good race at Melton tomorrow night.

Mile Rate: - 2.0.2             Last Half: - 58.0                Margins: - 20m, Nose

BLACKBOOKER: - See You There

MARYBOROUGH 12/06/22

Race 1: - SOHO TRIBECA is returning after having three years break away from racing and after stud duties. He hasn’t raced since being unplaced in the Italian Cup in June 2019 but he boasts 21 career victories including the Golden Nuggett, the 4yo Super Series Final, the WA Pacing Cup and the Kilmore Cup. He trailed his stable mate RACKEMUP TIGERPIE early before strolling to the front at the 1400m and winning untouched in fast time.

Mile Rate: - 2.0.5             Last Half: - 54.9                Margin: - 12m

Trial 2: - EAGLE WATCH was impressive in beating a strong field and should be competitive at Kilmore on Tuesday night. He settled three back on the inside, came away from the markers at the 500m mark and finished off strongly in slick closing sectionals. FINAL PEACE finished second after setting the speed and IDLE TIMES (trailed leader) finished in third. The eye-catching performance out of the trial was from ALADDIN. He settled six back on the markers, moved into the running lane (1-1 at bell, 1-2 at 500m) and finished swiftly in fourth. It could be a good form trial leading into this week with EAGLE WATCH racing at Kilmore on Tuesday and FINAL PEACE and ALADDIN competing in the eighth event at Charlton on Monday.

Mile Rate: - 1.58.7           Last Half: - 55.5                Margins: - 1m, 3m

Trial 3: - METRO MEMORY won at his final hit-out before his debut performance at Hamilton this afternoon. He settled down five back on the markers, made a move from the 1200m to find the lead at the bell and held off his rivals to get the prize. Considering the final half was recorded in 56.5 seconds, it was a good display and he should be competitive first up. The trotter ZAREM finished quickly from three back on the markers to fill second with SOHO SERAPHINE (trailed leader) finishing third without being extended. MON BEL ANGE settled four back on the markers and shot along the sprint lane so it was a good display in view of her first up performance at Kilmore on Tuesday night. ZAREM could be a knockout chance at Melton tomorrow night based on his handy trial performance.

Mile Rate: - 2.2.4             Last Half: - 56.5                Margins: - Head, ½ head

Trial 5: - SOHO LUMINE hasn’t started since a fifth in the Allied Express 2yo Classic but he was extremely impressive in his runaway success over WAVE STRIDE. He settled down in the one out and one back trail, moved around to find the lead at the bell and ran away from his rivals to score easily.

Mile Rate: - 2.3.9             Last Half: - 57.9                Margins: - 30m, head

BLACKBOOKER: - Soho Lumine

SHEPPARTON 14/06/22

Trial 1: - TELLMESUMTHINGRL has yet to run a place in 30 starts to date but she was confidently supported at Ararat and looked likely when she found the lead early before going for a gallop. She was able to win the opening trial at Shepparton after coming from three back on the inside and should be competitive from the pole position at Charlton on Monday.

Mile Rate: - 2.2.0             Last Half: - 60.7                Margins: - 1m, 6m

Trial 2: - The Super Series champion PARISIAN ARTISTE recorded an effortless win after settling four back on the markers before moving into the one out and one back trail at the bell. He was untouched going to the line and scored by a comfortable margin. BITTA IRISH LUCK produced a good performance after setting the pace and appears to be a winning chance at Charlton on Monday.

Mile Rate: - 2.4.2             Last Half: - 59.0                Margins: - 10m, 10m

Trial 4: - The former New Zealander THE ROCKNROLL KING did well in Queensland and has recently joined trainer Alex Ashwood. He led out, took cover and commenced his winning run at the 300m mark. He was just able to get the better of the former New South Wales trained pacer NEW YORKER, which found the lead shortly after the start. It was a fast mile rate of 1.58.0 and the pair drew well clear of their rivals at the end so they are both worth following.

Mile Rate: - 1.58.0           Last Half: - 57.5                Margins: - Head, 30m

BLACKBOOKERS: - The Rocknroll King & New Yorker

KILMORE 15/06/22

Trial 1: - The wet conditions at Kilmore effected the overall times and sectionals on the day so the qualifier OUR VINNIE did very well in the opening event. He settled down four back on the markers, moved into the one out and one back trail at the 700m and produced a powerful finish in a last quarter of 28.8 seconds to easily get the prize over LAVADA GOLD (led, trailed leader 1400m) and EARS EFBEEYE (without cover, lead 1400m). He obviously has some ability and is worth following.

Mile Rate: - 2.9.6             Last Half: - 61.7                Margins: - 3m, 2.5m

Trial 3: - The results of the third event are omitted from the website but it was the Chris Svanosio prepared RUESLAN, which got the prize after trailing the leader throughout. TALENT AGENT came from last of the four runners and sprinted sharply into second with the early leader ROCHEFORD CHEESE being in third. CHEDDAR VALLEY (3 back markers) was last of the four runners across the line. RUESLAN and TALENT AGENT are competing in a strong race at Kilmore on Tuesday night but they should give their usual honest display.

Mile Rate: - Not Given   Last Half: - Not Given     Margins: - 1m, 3m (approximately)

Trial 4: - HUMBLE LADD continued his impressive trial form with an easy victory where he led throughout and recorded handy time considering the wet conditions. KYVALLEY CHIEF was beaten by 30m in finishing second but he lost no admirers as he came from last and gave HUMBLE LADD a big start at the half mile marker.

Mile Rate: - 2.1.3             Last Half: - 59.1                Margins: - 30m, 25m
