SHEPPARTON (Note the official results have not appeared on the website, some of the horse names may be misspelled or slightly incorrect. No times or margins are available).

Trial 1: - DIAMOND ECLIPSE was very impressive and appears to have a promising future. He began well and was without cover early, gained a one out and one back trail at the bell before finishing off fast from the home turn. PENSINI was also a good performance in the trial and also appears to be a future winner. He was three back on the inside, got held up for a run at a vital stage and finished off strongly. IDEAL JO was behind the leader early, moved up without cover from the bell and finished third ahead of OUR MONTABELLA BRO, which settled in fifth position. ZERO IN settled down last and got through along the sprint lane to edge past the early leader BARACK ENOBRAC.

BLACKBOOKERS: - Diamond Eclipse, Pensini

Trial 2: - THREE SUMMAS began brilliantly to lead and enjoyed a nice run throughout. He started to lift the tempo at the 500m mark and was able to hold off a determined challenge from CELERINA to get the prize. CELERINA took on strong opposition and was a nice effort in second after trailing the leader and coming to the outside on the home turn. She is racing in the Bronze section of the Super Series at Bendigo on Tuesday and is a chance on that trial performance. She is the reserve for the Silver section of that series, which may be a bit tougher. SEND IT settled three back on the inside and finished third with WILLEM being last of the four runners throughout.

Trial 3: - COOKS CANVAS began quickly to lead and was able to have a good kick left at the finish. He scored by approximately two lengths on the line over COURAGEOUS LIFE, which produced a good effort after being without cover for most of the first circuit then gaining a one out and one back trail. SUMMER PANTS settled down in last position, moved into the running lane at the 900m (1-3) and was the widest runner into the straight. He stormed home out wide on the track to finish in third position. JANG PEL was last early, moved into the one out and one back trail then ended up being three back on the outside. He came out three horses wide on the home turn and finished fourth. DRIFFING wasn’t too far away in fifth position. He trailed the leader early, moved into the death seat at the 1300m and was pulling hard so it wasn’t a bad performance. AMARANDA was three back on the markers before ending up behind the leader. She dropped off to be in sixth position late and beat FIRST ADVENTURE (3 back markers at 1300m) to the line.

Trial 4: - LUNAR DELIGHT settled four back on the markers and moved into the one out and one back trail at the 500m mark. She came to the outside on the home turn and charged home to win easily, seemingly with plenty left in the locker. SHAKATIE pulled her way to the front but settled better after the mobile zoomed away. She was unchallenged from the outset and turned for home nicely clear but couldn’t repel the challenge of LUNAR DELIGHT late. MOONSHINE LINDA settled last of the five runners and finished off boldly out wide on the track to snare third just in front of ROYAL CHARLOTTE, which trailed the leader throughout. WRITEABOUTJESS settled three back on the inside and moved into the death seat at the 500m mark. She got up to second before the home turn but couldn’t sustain the run and was the last of the five runners to complete the course.

Trial 5: - DALTON was able to lead throughout to win the final trial. He was headed on the home turn but kicked back strongly in the straight to claim victory. BLACK CAT CLAW was eighth on the outside (1-3), came out three horses wide from the 700m and sustained a strong run. She moved up to join the leaders in the straight and missed out narrowly. VALLEY ESS JAY was wide early and pushed forward to race without cover from the 1700m. He was a big winning chance with 100m remaining but started to trot roughly when heading towards the shadows that were across the track and he lost a bit of momentum. That trio were well clear of TEQUILA BREE, which was without cover early before finding the one out and one back trail behind VALLEY ESS JAY. THREE BROS finished fifth after trailing the leader and pulling hard throughout the middle stages. CRESCO MAJITO was sixth throughout (1-2) and finished ahead of MONTANA MUSCLE, which was 4 back on the markers for the duration. The last three horses made errors and they were BOOZER (3 back markers, galloped at the 600m), ABBIE (broke stride at the 1300m and the 900m) and COMANDANTE (broke at the start, tailed off, failed to finish).

TERANG 20/12/20

Trial 1: - KEAYANG SPEAK (Artspeak – The Black Queen) settled fourth on the markers, moved up without cover from the 500m mark and was just able to get the better of his rivals in a very good finish to the opening trial. RAINBOWSNPEARLS (Rock N Roll Heaven – Soho Cannes 1.59.1, $115,282) trailed the leader, used the sprint lane and finished in second just in front of the early leader LEICA GEM. SUNRISE RUBY (Four Starzzz Shark – Steda Gem) was four back on the markers in fifth position for the first lap, moved into the one out and one back trail with 500m remaining and came out three horses wide turning for home. She ran home fairly well and wasn’t beaten by far. SMILE WITH A GRIN was forced to race without cover, broke stride at the 1400m and lost approximately 20m then galloped again at the 1200m, losing valuable ground thus being tailed off for the remainder of the trial.

Mile Rate: - 2.8.7            Final Half: - 61.7               Margins: - 1m, ½ head

Trial 2: - JILLIBY DYSON began quickly to lead, set up a slow tempo and was just able to hold off a determined challenge from HOOK EYE JOH. HOOK EYE JOH produced an enormous run in second position. BERYLS GRIN (Grinfromeartoear – Panorama Wealth 1.58.4, $39,331) finished in third position after trailing the leader throughout and BAKERS BANDIT was the last one to complete the course after settling three back on the inside and moving up without cover with 300m remaining.

Mile Rate: - 2.6.0            Final Half: - 57.4               Margins: - Head, 8m

MARYBOROUGH 20/12/20

Trial 1: - STAR OF MEMPHIS showed very good gate speed to lead and was able to coast through the first circuit. He dashed home in a slick final 800m of 56.0 seconds to win easily and with seemingly plenty in reserve. It was a good confidence builder for his effort at Ballarat on Saturday night. SIXTY finished in second position after trailing the leader throughout and IM SHADOW BOXER was a good effort in third after being three back on the markers and without cover from the 800m mark. He went to the line under a strong hold. PIN STRIPES was last of the four runners throughout.

Mile Rate: - 2.1.5            Final Half: - 56.0               Margins: - 2m, 1m

Trial 2: - MAJALINER settled four back on the markers and moved into the one out and one back trail at the 1200m mark. He came out three horses wide with 300m remaining, hit the front in the straight and was just able to hold out the late challenge of DRESS SENSE. DRESS SENSE put in an eye-catching performance and is worth following. He settled down last and trailed MAJALINER throughout before peeling to the outside on the home turn. He finished off strongly in quick final sectionals and was never pushed at any stage. VALENTINA BRAVE settled three back on the inside, made a move at the mile marker and quickly found the lead. She was still in front going around the home turn but was run down in the latter stages. IMAGE OF COURAGE was behind the leader early then three back on the inside before moving up without cover with 1200m remaining. He finished in fourth position with BUNDY PLAYBOY being the last one home after leading out then taking cover.

Trial 3: - MICHAELSMENAME gained the perfect trip behind the leader IMA LOUIE TOUIE, came to the outside on the home turn and was able to dash away and win the trial easily. FUN ON RUM (Bacardi Lindy – Pepperell Mistral) was very slow into stride and was approximately 20m behind the herd at the start. He was last of the five runners for most of the trip, moved into the one out and one back trail at the bell and came out three horses wide to get around the tiring ELLEN RUVAL with 700m remaining. He picked up some ground for second with HIDDEN FIRE being in third after racing three back on the markers throughout. IMA LOUIE TOUIE began quickly to lead, copped plenty of pressure in the first lap from ELLEN RUVAL, which was desperately trying to find the front, and kicked clear at the 700m mark but tired late. He finished fourth with ELLEN RUVAL fading into being a distant last of the five competitors.

Mile Rate: - 2.5.9            Final Half: - 61.2               Margins: - 10m, 2m

UNITED galloped in the score up but was able to get back into position at release point and drove through to lead. He ran along at a reasonable tempo and boxed on well for second with AMPHIJET (Village Jolt – Bianca Jasper 1.59.2, $22,758) finishing a distant third after racing three back on the markers throughout. DECEPTIVE STRIDE (Captaintreacheous – Delightful Joy) dropped out to last and raced very roughly around the first corner. He never really appeared to be comfortable and was the last horse to greet the judge.

MORSURE DAMOUR (Love You – Calder Fury 2.6.2, $25,481) began quickly to lead and took cover shortly after the start. He was allowed to keep trotting and do his own thing so he drifted back to last and dropped off the bunch with a lap remaining. He got into third position however when IN VINO VERITAS (Fling It – Sun Legend) broke stride with 500m remaining. IN VINO VERITAS did a lot wrong. She galloped at the start and lost 15m, raced without cover from the 1400m, gained a one out and one back trail at the bell, trailed the leader shortly afterwards then galloped again at the 500m mark.

Trial 2: - BRANDONS PRICE began quickly to lead and set up a slow tempo.
