Trial File followers may be able to get a quick return this week with plenty of Buzz around a two-year-old who'll step out at Ballarat tonight.

Hugh Cathels owned, trained and bred two-year-old Bettling Line gelding Commander Buzz has won one of his two starts and will likely draw punters' favour in tonight's Alabar Vicbred Platinum Home Grown Classic at Bray Raceway.

And for good reason too according to the Trial File's Craig Rail, who added the half-brother to Safari ($535,445) to his Blackbook after an eye-catching trial at Cranbourne on Tuesday.

Home in a 57.1-second last half, Commander Buzz cleared out from his fellow trialists to be one of four Blackbook additions this week.

Replays for each are below. Scroll to the bottom for the updated Blackbook.

WILLDOMXAV also broke stride at the start and he lost a lot of ground. He was able to catch up to the group with 1300m remaining, latched onto the back of JENNYSFAVOURITE and tried hard in the straight. JERSEY SAM (Genuwine – River Reos 2.4.0, $2,250) trailed the leader throughout and finished third. ROCK ON CAESAR wasn’t competitive after galloping in the score up and being tailed off in the early stages of the event.

NOTSOKOOL began nicely out wide on the track before moving across to race without cover. He did a good job after racing in the breeze throughout and picked up the early leader OUR DOREEN DAYS on the line for second with OUR DOREEN DAYS being a close up third. NOTSOKOOL is still learning but is showing some ability and will be competing at Shepparton on Tuesday night. LETS WENT settled fourth on the markers early behind angling into the one out and one back trail behind NOTSOKOOL.
