The Emma Stewart barn will be rolling out a host of star juveniles in coming weeks and one has grabbed the attention of Craig Rail at the trials.

American Ideal colt Idealrockidealroll is one of three runners added to Rail’s Blackbook this week and will step out for his debut at Hamilton on Monday as “a big winning chance”.

Bruce Morgan-trained Lollipop and Boris Devcic-prepared Winnedou are other horses Rail has added to his Blackbook, which can be found at the bottom of the page.

MILDURA 22/08/21

Trial 1: - WINNEDOU (Grinfromeartoear – Jimbaran Bay 2.3.4, $15,740) began quickly and ran to the lead shortly after the start. He rolled along at a reasonable tempo and ran away from his rivals to win easily. He obviously has ability and is worth following. OLLIES MOLLY trailed the leader and came to the outside on the home turn in an attempt to issue a challenge but found the winner to be too slick up the straight. INDIANAS WISH was three back on the markers throughout and finished in third position with RONZEL MICKEY (Sportswriter – Ronzel Gem 1.57.9, $35,795) filling fourth spot after beginning slowly from the pole position and being four back on the pegs for the duration. MISSTHIRDTIMELUCKY (Julius Caesar – Misseinstein 1.59.5, $16,744) settled in last position and wanted to hang in a little on the corners so she remained at the rear of the field.

Trial 2: - CRIME BOSS pushed forward from a wide draw to race without cover. He hit the lead approaching the home turn and remained strong at the finish to get the prize. GIANNIS AY MACRAY trailed the leader, angled out three horses wide on the home turn and finished off nicely for second. He followed with an unplaced effort at Mildura on Thursday night. MISTA PUMBLECHOOK dropped back to be last of the five runners, came out wide on the home turn and was doing his best work at the finish. MEXICAN STANDOFF began quickly to find the lead and rolled along at an even tempo. He was headed off at the home turn and finished in fourth position. MISS TWINKLE gained a one out and one back trail behind the winner CRIME BOSS and finished at the tail of the field of the field.

Trial 3: - NATIONALDRAFT began quickly to find the lead, backed off the tempo mid-race and dashed well clear over the final stages to win his trial comfortably. ORAMA began well to find the markers first, gained the perfect trail behind NATIONALDRAFT on the first turn and held his own in the straight to fill second position. KING SOLOMON settled three back on the markers and finished ahead of HEART OF COOPER, which was last throughout. KING SOLOMON followed with an unplaced effort at Mildura on Thursday night.

Trial 1: - THE PENNY DROPS began quickly and progressed forward to find the lead at the 1500m, took a trail at the 800m mark and used the sprint lane to drive through and get the prize. SHARK LUCK led out, took a trail at the 1500m and ended up being three back on the markers at the half mile marker. He angled out three horses wide on the home turn and ran home well to miss out by a narrow margin. MYRNIONG IS AWAY settled three back on the markers in the early stages, came to the outside at the bell and dashed around to find the lead shortly afterwards. He was gunned down over the final stages but wasn’t beaten by a large margin. FIGHTNFURY was last of the four runners throughout.

She backed up to finish in eighth position at Maryborough on Thursday. YANKEE TWISTER settled three back on the inside after a good beginning and finished off nicely for a close up third. ABILINE settled down last and was able to pick up SMART CHA CHA (4 back markers, 1-1 at 500m) over the concluding stages.

Trial 3: - MY DARLING DANCER (B G’s Folly – Farnsworth) began very quickly to lead easily, dashed home in a handy final half of 800m of 57.6 seconds and held on over the concluding stages. She backs up at Ballarat tonight in the opening event. PETREOS settled three back on the markers, moved through to trail the leader at the 500m and came to the outside on the home turn. He ran home well to finish in second position. PETREOS backed up at Maryborough on Thursday, where he finished last of the eight runners. WELEASE WOGER trailed the leader, moved to the outside at the 500m and ended up being three horses wide on the home turn but failed to run on over the concluding stages. He returns from a spell at Hamilton on Monday.

Trial 4: - SCAR began quickly to find the lead. He was able to back off the tempo mid-race then zoomed away over the concluding stages to win untouched by a large margin. TROTTENEM HOT STUFF (Lucky Chucky – Racewaycalder 2.1.5, $36,663) trailed the leader and began yielding ground from the 500m. MAJESTIC EM (Majestic Son – Heart Of Glass) broke at the start and was tailed off throughout.

Trial 5: - OURBEACHBABE began quickly to find the lead, set up a very slow tempo and was able to fend off her rivals in the run to the finish. ARKLOW (Rock N Roll Heaven – Mairhed Fallen 1.57.2, $34,603) settled at the tail of the field, came out three horses wide with 150m remaining and ran home well to miss out by a narrow margin. She makes her debut at Hamilton on Monday but is taking on a very handy field. SCRITTORE (Sportswriter – Macray Amore) trailed the leader, moved to the outside at the 500m and finished last of the three runners but was beaten by a very narrow margin.

Trial 6: - SOHO KYOTO began quickly to find the lead and enjoyed a nice run throughout. She finished off in a slick final quarter of 28.6 seconds and was able to hold on and win. ARDENT BLISS trailed the leader and moved to the outside on the home turn. She battled on well in the straight for second and LOVEN LAUGHTER finished third after racing three back on the markers throughout and coming to the outside at the 500m mark. JILLIBY DINGO dropped back to last, moved to the outside at the 600m, gained a one and one back trail and ran home well through the middle for snare fourth. He backed up with a second at Maryborough on Thursday, where he was strongly supported. HOWS THE SERENITY was five back on the markers and beat home PERFECT STATEMENT, which settled one position ahead and pulled hard in the run. The winner of the trial SOHO KYOTO is awkwardly drawn for her comeback performance at Ballarat tonight. ARDENT BLISS back up with an effort at Maryborough on Thursday, where she finished last of ten. HOWS THE SERENITY is taking on SOHO KYOTO again in the second race at Ballarat tonight.

Trial 7: - DO YA WANNA DONNA began quickly to lead, coasted around without being challenged and was able to win effortlessly. She finished nicely for fourth behind Constantinople at Maryborough on Thursday. MAJESTIC EM (Majestic Son – Heart of Glass) began quickly from the standing start but galloped 20m after the tapes released and settled last of the three runners. He moved to the outside on the home turn and ran into a distant second. ZINGARA LASS was the last one to finish after trailing the leader throughout and backed up with a tenth placed effort at Maryborough on Thursday.

Trial 1: - VISIONARY trailed the pacer IF THE MOOD SUITS, came to the outside at the 600m and was able to win without being fully extended so it was a tidy performance. IF THE MOOD SUITS appeared to be lazy in the front running home. He was able to pick up once challenged by VISIONARY but was nosed out on the line. SUNDAYS SHADOW began reasonably well but broke stride on the first turn and was tailed off for the majority of the trip. She is racing at Ballarat tonight.

Trial 2: - POST GAME restrained to be five back on the markers in the early stages, moved away from the inside at the 600m mark and finished off well to collect the prize. He is returning from a spell at Cranbourne on Sunday. HAVEYOUMETDAISY trailed the leader, was held up for a run at a vital stage and worked home well through the middle late. ETON ROCK (Pet Rock – Modern Ville 1.57.3, $26,413) settled three back on the inside, moved away from the markers at the 400m mark, came out three horses wide on the home turn and won easily. SPARKLING SUE (Modern Art – Gottahavasheffield 1.59.9, $38,100) settled last of the six runners, waited for the sprint lane and charged through to finish fourth. The early leader GROOM yielded ground late and finished fifth with MAGIC CRAFT (4 back markers, under pressure at 600m) being the last one home after galloping on the home turn. GROOM is awkwardly drawn for his return to racing at Cranbourne on Sunday.

Trial 1: - LOMBO IDLE BELIEF began well to trail the leader, used the sprint lane and hit the lead in the straight. He was able to score by a narrow margin and in handy time. MASQUERADING began very quickly to lead, ran along at a genuine tempo and kicked back strongly after being headed with one hundred metres remaining. The first two horses across the line put a large margin on the remainder of the field which was headed by SERENGETI SUNRISE (Somebeachsomewhere – Jo Louleonie 2.0.6, $30,650). She settled last of the five runners, moved away from the inside to make ground at the 500m mark but galloped shortly afterwards. It is hard to judge how close she would have been to the winners had she not galloped but she did recover well to finish in third position. ASTERISM was four back on the markers and beat home WONGA LAKE, which settled one position ahead of him in the early stages.

Trial 1: - SHEZ MAJESTIC settled three back on the markers, came to the outside with 600m remaining and was able to get home best to win. She won with something in reserve and backed up at Maryborough on Thursday with a fourth placed effort behind Scar. SUNNYS LITTLE ROSE (Father Patrick – Our Sunny Rose) attempted to lead throughout and finished in second position with ADJURE (Majestic Son – Castleton Command 2.7.3, $9,600) (behind leader) being the last horse to greet the judge.

Trial 2: - QUEEN ELIDA began quickly and was able to sail across the field to find the lead shortly after the start. She ran along at a good tempo and won very nicely at the end. MEADOWVALLEY LOVER trailed the leader and tried hard for second with SHEZA PLEASURE making her move from last of the four runners at the 700m to pick up third spot. SUPPLANTER settled three back on the markers but was the last horse to complete the course. MEADOWVALLEY LOVER unfortunately galloped away at Maryborough on Thursday and will now start on the extreme outside of the line at Echuca on Tuesday.

Trial 3: - COMANDANTE began safely and settled in third position. He made a move with 1300m remaining and found the lead at the bell. He was being nursed over the concluding stages but did enough to be able to get the prize. He unfortunately galloped when switching back to the sprint lane at Bendigo on Wednesday night. WILLDOMXAV trailed the leader early, ended up being three back on the markers at the bell, gained a one out and one back trail at the 500m and used the sprint lane over the final stages. He missed out narrowly with JAY BEE FLEX being a close up third after settling four back on the markers and making a run from the 700m mark. PRIMZ LUCK led out, took a trail at the bell and yielded ground over the latter stages. He is backing up at Cranbourne on Sunday. BINDI BEACH (Sunshine Beach – Rose of Hollywood) was three back on the markers, moved to the outside at the 300m mark and tried hard for second position. ROCKSTAR SAINT (A Rocknroll Dance – Torridon 2.1.2, $39,325) led out then took a trail and finished a distant third. His breeding suggests he will get better with age so he should keep improving. MAJORPEAL (Major Bronski – Makhaya 2.1.0, $42,365) settled four back on the inside and was struggling to hold her ground from the 1200m mark. She was the last one to complete the course. TURTLE galloped in the score up and was retired out of the trial. He did join in after being lapped with 300m remaining and was keeping with the pacers down the straight.

Trial 5: - LIGHTNING JASH settled four back on the inside, came out three horses wide from the 300m and strolled to an effortless win. He backed up with a victory at Bendigo on Wednesday night, where he raced well outside of his Ratings bracket and still got the prize. OZZIE PLAYGIRL attempted to lead throughout and finished second. LOLLIPOP (Somebeachsomewhere – Lucky Ha Ha 1.57.4, $6,693) put in an eye-catching performance to finish in third position. She settled five back on the inside and finished fast for third. Considering the final half was run in a slick 57.1 seconds, she is worth following. EPIC ORION (Changeover – Starlit Orion) trailed the leader and came to the outside with 300m remaining. He finished in fourth position with INFERRNO (3 back markers) being the last horse across the line.

Trial 6: - LOST FOUR WORDS settled five back on the inside, moved into the one out and one back trail at the 600m and came out three horses wide from the 300m. She finished strongly to win impressively. VAN NIEKERK began very quickly to find the lead, rolled along at a genuine tempo and battled on bravely for second. KALKADOON WARRIOR finished in third position after being three back on the markers throughout. The former New South Wales pacer HAND WRITER settled down in last position, moved up without cover from the 700m and made ground in the back straight before peaking late and finishing in fourth. HAPPYASLARRY began well and trailed the leader but couldn’t kick on late. He followed with an unplaced effort at Maryborough on Thursday. WAITING FOR YOU was last of the six to cross the line after being four back on the markers throughout.

Trial 7: - TWISTED BLISS settled six back on the markers, moved into the one out and one back trail at the half mile marker, was without cover from the 400m and sustained a strong run to win nicely. SICARIO settled five back on the markers, moved into the death seat when turning into the back straight, dropped in behind the leader at the 400m and used the sprint lane over the final stages. He finished quickly and missed out narrowly. CHOOZ REACTOR began quickly to find the lead, eased off the tempo mid-race and finished in third position. It was wasn’t a bad effort considering she has a National Rating of 50 and she was taking on harder opposition. She is poorly drawn at Kilmore this afternoon but she should be running home well. WOULD YOU MIND trailed the leader early then dropped back to be third on the markers, moved into the one out and one back trail on the home turn and never peeled to the outside at any stage. He went to the line hard held and should have gone close to winning. It was a good performance as a lead up to his effort at Bendigo on Saturday. FOREST FORCE began quickly and was able to angle in behind the leader. He finished fifth ahead of KARALTA STARDUST, which settled four back on the inside.

Trial 8: - WELL DEFINED began fast and rolled to the top shortly after the start. He dashed well clear over the latter stages to win easily and in fast time. He was beaten by a large margin but the winner was well clear at the time he came to the outside. SULTAN SASS trailed the leader and started dropping out in the back straight. She was retired out of the trial.

Trial 1: - LA PERRIERE (Used To Be – I’m Ready Set 1.56.6, $69,031) stepped away to well to find the lead and set up a very slow tempo. She shifted out under pressure in the home straight but was able to safely hold her rivals at bay. CRAVACHE DOR (Orlando Vici – Muscles N Blues USA) trailed the leader, broke stride at the 1600m and lost 30m, angled to the outside in the straight and was never extended at any stage so it was a handy performance. GENTLEMAN SIR was three back on the markers and trailed the leader when CRAVACHE DOR broke stride mid-race. He had every chance in third position.

Trial 2: - CATCH A WAVE (Captaintreacherous – Coppagoodone 1.57.0, $13,423) began quickly to find the lead, backed off the tempo mid-race and kicked back strongly after looking in danger of defeat down the front straight. LARVOTTO BEACH (Somebeachsomewhere – Lierre Noir 1.54.4, $131,629) was three back on the markers, moved away from the inside at the 600m mark and tried hard in the straight. She finished in second position with LADY IN LINE (Betting Line – Decorated Lady 1.58.7, $28,503) being in third after trailing the leader and using the sprint lane. GIPSY PRINCESS (Betting Line – Christian Melody 1.56.2, $212,580) settled four back on the inside and was held up for a run late for an unlucky fourth. SPORTSRAMA (Sportswriter – Rocknroll Rama) settled in last position, moved into the one out and one back trail at the 600m but couldn’t pass a horse in the straight and finished at the tail.

Trial 3: - ILLAWONG BENITA trailed the leader early, ended up being three back on the markers and moved to the outside with 400m remaining. She was able to score easily and without being pushed. She appears to be a big winning chance in the final event at Ballarat on Saturday night. FLING IT RAINBOW led out then took a trail at the 1200m and pulled hard throughout the middle stages. He switched back to the sprint lane and drove through to finish in second position. DON ABRASCO raced without cover and pressured the leader early. He found the lead at the 1200m and was run down over the concluding stages. LUNITAS (Andover Hall – Solar Flash 2.1.0, $6,765) settled last of the four runners and dropped off the pack when turning out of the back straight on the final occasion.

He makes his debut at Hamilton on Monday where he is a big winning chance. HOLI STARZZZ began quickly to lead and attempted to lead throughout. She was run down at the end but the time was fast so her effort was sound. She looms as one of the leading chances in her event at Ballarat this evening. HURRICANE HUSSLER was four back on the markers, came to the outside at the 400m and got in behind IDEALROCKIDEALROLL before the home turn. He switched back to the inner and finished off well for third. SUNSHINE WARRIOR was three back on the markers throughout and finished ahead of REALLY SMARTIE (Stonebridge Regal – Really Rona), which was always in a rearward position.

Trial 5: - I AM PEGASUS began quickly and was driven aggressively in the early stages. She eventually found the lead with 1200m remaining and kept on rolling to win easily. EMERALD STRIDE settled four back on the inside and moved off the markers at the 300m mark. She gave the leaders a big start but ran home well at the end to finish second. It was a good effort as a lead up to her performance in the Sumthingaboutmaori FFA at Bendigo tomorrow night. FEAR NOT began quickly and was trying to hold out the challenge of I AM PEGASUS early. She eventually took cover and battled on well for third. SANGREAL was three back on the markers and beat home SONNY BROOKE, which settled last of the pack. ADELLE broke stride at the start and was tailed off in the early stages. She was never a chance but she did make a lot of ground on the herd.

Trial 6: - GENERAL DODGE settled four back on the markers, moved to the outside at the 600m and showed explosive speed to win the trial very impressively. OUT TO PLAY settled four back on the inside, moved into the one out and one back trail at the 600m but couldn’t match the speed of GENERAL DODGE late. It was still a good performance and he will have plenty of admirers in his effort at Bendigo tomorrow night. ENCHANTED STRIDE trailed the leader, was held up for a run at a vital stage and ran home well through the middle late for a handy third. She is awkwardly drawn but should be working to the line nicely at her effort at Bendigo on Saturday night. WOLF STRIDE settled at the rear of the field, came out three horses wide on the home turn and worked home well in fast final sectionals. CRUZ attempted to lead throughout and finished fifth with FOURBIGMEN (3 back markers) being the last horse across the line.

Trial 7: - CALYPSO MISTRESS began quickly, took a trail and moved away from the inside on the home turn and ran to the line solidly to score over BURNFOURU, which showed gate speed and attempted to lead throughout. CALYPSO MISTRESS has drawn favourably and is a chance at Ballarat tonight. GO ACCUSED finished third after settling four back on the markers and waiting for the sprint lane run. PLAYFUL MISS settled three back on the markers, moved to the outside at the quarter pole and finished fourth. LILAS PRIDDY NIECE (Somebeachsomewhere – Ourbellabro 1.55.9, $28,338) showed gate speed, galloped 50m after the start and lost 30m hence finished at the tail of the field.

Trial 8: - The outstanding filly LADIES IN RED worked to the front 200m after the start, set up a good tempo and finished off very quickly with a last quarter of 26.74 seconds to claim the prize. MAJOR MOTH led out then took a trail before coming to the outside on the home turn. He did a mighty job to pick up ground on LADIES IN RED considering the outstanding final fractions and he finished a narrow second. ABOUTTIME was five back on the markers and rolled into a distant third. MIRAKURU produced a very good performance to snare fourth position. He was without cover early, restrained to last, waited for the sprint lane and finished off well late. HES UNDER WRAPS was four back on the markers and was able to get past DIAMOND CULLEN (3 back markers) in the straight. DIAMOND CULLEN met a top field at the trials and might be better suited at her performance at Cranbourne on Sunday.

Trial 1: - EVA MATEO has recently returned from a Queensland campaign and was able to beat her two trotting stable mates in slow time. MANGANA JOE finished in second position in preparation for his effort at Maryborough on Thursday, where he led, looked to be a winning chance but unfortunately broke stride over the final stages. DUBLIN CHUBB was last of the three runners to cross the line.
