Trots Clubs Victoria appoints Carl Coady CEO

Trots Clubs Victoria (TCV) President Tim Scala today announced the appointment a new CEO in Carl Coady.

“We conducted a thorough search and had many great applicants however Carl’s history and knowledge of harness racing, together with his understanding of the Victorian clubs made him the first choice,” Mr Scala said.

Mr Coady joined Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) as a steward in 1996, has worked in three states and in both harness racing and thoroughbred racing. Most recently he was Chief Steward for Harness Racing in Western Australia.

Having grown up in Swan Hill, Carl began his early days following his father, Peter Coady, to the trots at Nyah where Peter was the starter and occasional race caller. When he left school he eventually made his career in harness racing.

“I am truly excited to be returning to where my career began and funnily enough working alongside Dayle Brown again as we began together at HRV over 20 years ago,” Mr Coady said.

Carl will shift to Melbourne in the New Year with his wife Mel and begin TCV on January 13. It is expected he will be on the road meeting the leaders of the trots clubs as a priority.
