VRI gives green light to Saturday morning trots

From next Saturday, April 18, Harness Racing Victoria (HRV) will look to program Saturday morning trots meets.

HRV yesterday received the backing of the Victorian Racing Industry (VRI), made up of the three racing codes, to pursue Saturday morning time slots.

“Saturday morning racing is something we have been pursuing for a while now and with the backing of our partners through the VRI we’ll look to implement this from next Saturday morning,” HRV Racing General Manager Stephen Bell said.

“We’ll be working closely with our broadcast and wagering partner, Tabcorp, to finalise the detail as soon as possible.

“This will provide important additional opportunities for our participants and greater promotion of our code in a key time slot.”
