‘We couldn’t be happier’: Fighter Command on the road to recovery

Jess Tubbs has given an update on three-year-old pacer, Fighter Command during a special exclusive with Paul Campbell from Campbell’s Comments.

Fighter Command was back in the paddock after requiring emergency colic surgery. The emerging superstar boasts nine wins from 12 starts and was set to represent Tasracing in the 2024 edition of the TAB Eureka.

“He is bright and well and still on confinement as far as being locked up, he is not allowed in the paddock with his friends,” Tubbs said as Fighter Command grazed.

“We just couldn’t be happier with how he is.”

The Myrniong trainer has seen the pacer continue to recover from the lifesaving surgery.

“He lost quite a lot of weight which is very normal with the colic surgery, but he is starting to put it back on again,” she said. “His coat is starting to come good.”
