Services for a dozen of the best credentialled pacing and trotting stallions in the country are up for auction at the 2026 Terang Stallion Tender.
The online auction began on September 30 and closes on October 18.
The lineup of pacing stallions includes the Alabar Bloodstock duo Bay Of Biscay, the winner of the 2025 Eureka, and former champion speedster and emerging young sire Ride High.
The Victoria Cup and Derby winner Act Now and the USA Breeders Crown champion Mirage Hanover have been nominated by Cobbitty Equine Farm, while this season’s leading American first-crop sire Monte Miki and the 2024 Inter Dominion trotting champion The Locomotive will represent the new Rampant Standardbreds.
The dual New Zealand Cup hero Copy That (Merv and Meg Butterworth and Murray Veterinary Services), the world champion Warrawee Needy (Yirribee Pacing Stud) and the leading percentage stallion Soho Lanikai (Medowie Lodge) complete the list of pacing sires.
Services for the trotting stallions Aldebaran Zeus (Aldebaran Park), a five-time Group 1 winner, the successful American horse Helpisontheway (Balmain Lodge) and the dual USA Grade 1 winner Fast As The Wind (Wingate Farm) will also be auctioned.
The proceeds of the auction will be used for the building of a new training centre at Dalvui Raceway.
