Unprecedented support from Australia’s leading breeders and vendors has resulted in the one of the biggest ever offerings of all aged stock at the 2023 Nutrien Equine Winter Woolies online sale.

A total of 181 lots have been catalogued for this year’s auction, which will be held over four days from Monday, June 5 to Thursday, June 8.

The sale will feature 35 weanlings including stock by proven sires Somebeachsomewhere, Always B Miki, Rock N Roll Heaven, A Rocknroll Dance, Majestic Son and Love You, and emerging sires such as Vincent, McWicked, Captain Crunch, Soho Tribeca, Tiger Tara and Poster Boy.

Buyers also get their first chance to purchase youngsters by an exciting new crop of first season sires including the likes of Ultimate Sniper, Classic Connection, Muscle M Up and Elite Stride.

Perhaps the standout is Lot 173 (pictured), one of the Wingate Farm draft, a weanling filly by Somebeachsomewhere from the Victoria Sapling Stakes winner Luvumum.

Other weanlings certain to attract plenty of interest are the Tiger Tara filly from the NSW Sires Stakes champion La Saint, the Fear The Dragon filly from Miss Trickin Lombo, a McWicked filly from the dual Tasmanian Sires Stakes winner Nola Mayhem, a Tiger Tara colt from the top racemare Very Chic, an Ultimate Sniper half-brother to Bettor Dreams and the Somebeachsomewhere-Luvin Miss Molly filly.

A dozen yearlings will also go up for auction including progeny of Always B Miki, Downbytheseaside, Vincent, Majestic Son and Quaker Jet.

Lot 142, a yearling colt by Always B Miki from the Art Major mare, a half-sister to the mighty Lazarus, looks certain to be greatly in demand, along with the Downbytheseaside colt from the Breeders Crown placegetter Light In Every Day.

Among the large broodmare consignment are the Group 1-winning trotting mares Claudy’s Princess, Illawong Helios and My Valerie and full or half-sisters to a host of top performers including Lombo Pocket Watch, San Carlo, Flaming Flutter, Villagem, Gotta Go Cullen, Pembrook Benny, Bar Room Banta, Our Femme Fatale and the trotters Majestic Man, Enghien, Parisian Artiste, Dont Care, Our Overanova and The Fiery Ginga.
