TAB punter can’t resist big crack as Catch A Wave drifts to $2.10

One big TAB punter cashed in on Catch A Wave’s late drift before his brilliant victory in the My Lightning Blue Free For All at Melton on Saturday night.

While he opened $1.30, Andy Gath’s star pacer got out to north of $2 before the start of the race and one customer launched $8500 on him at $2.10.

Another punter was keen on Catch A Wave, but took no chances and had $10,000 on him to run a place at $1.06.

Below are some of the big bets taken by the TAB on Victorian harness racing last week.
