Three runs at Cranbourne on Saturday night caught the eye of analyst Nikkita Ross and entered the Monday Metrospective Blackbook.
Ross was joined by Toby McKinnon to review the weekend’s racing, with McKinnon also identifying the run of Vanquish Stride in the first event on the program.

HERE ARE THIS WEEK’S BLACKBOOK ADDITIONS:
R1 N7 VANQUISH STRIDE:
NR: He was last and, with a very quick third quarter, didn’t make a move till the home straight. He was terrific making up the ground he did out wide. The performance comes off the back of a really nice first up win and he is no doubt a horse on the up.
R5 N4 FYNN FROST:
NR: Held up before diving through gaps late and hitting the line really strongly. It was an eye catching performance made better by the fact it was a 27.5 final quarter in which he was making the ground.
R7 N3 INTEREST FREE:
NR: His runs this preparation have all been really good and Saturday night was no exception. He was well back over the mile, which made his task impossible, but made really good ground in the straight and you would think he finds his right race soon.
