Friday Form Panel: In-form Bon flags more value runners

On the back of his early value saluting at $11 last weekend, Jason Bonnington is again bullish on some well-priced runners at Tabcorp Park Melton this Saturday.

Working his way through the 11-race program with Nikkita Ross on SEN Track’s Friday Form Panel, Bonnington flagged Firerockfireroll in race five.

“Never has a race mapped better for a horse,” he said.

“He is my best value on the card. It’s a big yes from me for Firerockfireroll.”

In the same event, Love Ina Chevy goes around at a big price and is also a value runner according to Bonnington.

“I’ll be having a straight out win bet Firerockfireroll and a 1×5 bet at $41 and $6 for Love Ina Chevy,” he said.

Ross identified Imamaorijet in race 10 as her best on the card.

“She just looks to have the class edge here,” she said.

“It wasn’t a big winning margin in her heat, but everything else had their chance so it’s hard to see them turning the tables on her here.

“$2.15 feels a good enough price for her.”

It was a day to remember for Aaron Dunn. Not only did he go back-to-back from last year to this year in the Matthews Petroleum Hamilton Pacing Cup, he also trained the quinella, with Forty Love taking the honours and last year’s winner Dee Roe finishing second, driven by Jackie Barker.
