There will be twice as many chances to raise a glass to 2021’s trots heroes with separate celebrations for the Night of Nights and the Horse of the Year.
Trots fans should circle Sunday June 19 in their diary and save the date to attend the Horse of the Year awards, with 20 category winners to be revealed including the overall Victorian Horse of the Year and the country cup champions.
The occasion will also laud 2021’s outstanding drivers, trainers and breeders, with more details to come at thetrots.com.au.
But before then Harness Racing Victoria and the Victorian Harness Racing Club will reveal the 21st Gordon Rothacker Medallist, with the sport’s peak award the headliner of the huge Night of Night’s celebration at Crown’s Palladium Casino on May 1.
Those in attendance will also be able to celebrate the Pearl Kelly Award and Distinguished Services Medal, as well as the outstanding Victorian Harness Racing Club honours the Lang Medals and the induction of a Caduceus Living Legend.
Bookings close on Thursday April 21 for the Night of Nights, which will also include a three-course meal and drinks package, plus live music from much-loved Chunky Jam.
