LOST FOUR WORDS (8) deserves to be a clear odds-on favourite on ability but if you are happy to take the $1.55 on TAB Fixed Odds you are hoping she does everything right, and that is definitely not odds-on. Interesting to see how she handles Mildura. KILLER DRAGON (10) can run into a place but with this particular favourite being the way she is it probably means if you are taking Early Quaddies and are going one out with LOST FOUR WORDS (8), you’d probably be advised to take back-up in case she does it wrong.

Confidence:
On form it is a two-horse race between SOAR (1) and the emergency gaining a start IM THE MIGHTYGRAMPS (10). SOAR (1) has the draw and has been very good in two starts and whilst he has the draw, he takes on a decent enough horse from the South this time. It is much more enthralling now that IM THE MIGHTYGRAMPS (10) has gained a start and he is ready to win and can overcome the draw. ORAMA (7) should run third from a perfect trailing draw.

Race 3

COBALT BLUES (10) dropped out last week on his local debut, but he drops in grade here and with a better run forward he can improve. GRAFFITI LOMBO (7) will just need some luck and will be right there. LOCHSTER (9) hasn’t run for a few weeks but is knocking on the door and favourite CRACKERJACKS JUDGE (8) is obviously a chance as well.

BELLA BRONSKI (1) will certainly be able to hold the top now with the significant scratching of VAN NIEKERK (3) and after some good runs that should take her a long way to breaking the duck at the 23rd attempt. SPORTY AZZ (11) has a tough draw but is obviously a class runner as is RISING HIGH (8) and South Australian BOOKER BAY (5) is the X factor runner of the night after really catching the eye late in each of his last two at Globe Derby.

Confidence:
CALL ME HENRY (7) continues to race consistently without the greatest of luck and with the economical draw here if he can get some clear running at the right time, he is a great each-way chance. WILSHIRE BOULEVARD (9) and VICSTAR SHARAZZZ (11) are chances as is MORE THAN A WOMAN (5) who takes on her elders this time with GOOD ONYA (8) and SPRINGA (2) chances as well.

ROCKNROLL EYES (8) has a great course record, is tough and if you go back two starts, he ran home well for sixth in a lead-up race to tomorrow’s night Victoria Cup. He has gotten the better of BERNIE WINKLE (11) in the past and can do so again. BERNIE WINKLE (11), CAULONIA TERROR (6), EGODAN (10) and MURRANJI TRACK (9) are all genuine chances in a top fast class.

PUR DAN (10) has all the ability in the world but when it comes to winning, he is hard to catch, it was a top run last week, so he is the one to beat on that. OZZIE BATTLER (9) was also very good last week, and this is the easiest race he has run in to date since joining the new stable. ROLLOVA (5) is obviously a significant chance as are AJAY BREEZY ROSE (4), BOSS MAJOR (7) and COCO BEACH (11) with luck.

PLAYBOY SHADOW (4) was able to win a maiden three back which has followed with good runs against stronger, looks hard to beat. KEAYANG SHADY (7) just needs some luck from the draw, THE DEFIANT (11) drops back in class after winning last start but the question is, does the draw ruin his chances? He grows a leg in front. PATTYS ANGEL (8) rates next.

Confidence:
GOOD COP (6) is closer to a second victory after being close up in each of his last three, he is drawn wide but will be right there regardless. AMUSED (9) continues to race well and obviously with the right run will be dangerous. VIEIRA (10) can bob up and win one at this level at big odds in the not too distant future. WHITE STAR VILLAGE (3) is obviously the other key chance.

SURESOUNDSLIKEALIE (8) comes across from South Australia and is the only runner of the night for Aaron Bain. It looks a good race for her first-up off two Gawler trials. ABSTRACT HANOVER (6) went well last week and with some luck from the draw can go close enough. THE KNIGHT STAR (5) is interesting and rates next over MISTA PUMBLECHOOK (10).

OH MY GOODNESS (3) resumes being well beaten in two trials but against stronger and her best is good and first-up looks very well placed in this restricted race, as does MARKLEIGH CAZ (6) who is the other key chance but has the wider barrier. HAVE A CRACK (4), which is well named running at this course, OUR GRAND TORINO (5) and BARNEY FELLA (10) are the three place chances.

It’s a tough Quaddie with plenty of competitive legs. If you want to play a bit skinnier then maybe leave good old Murranji Track out in leg two, as he had it all his own way last time, and Keayang Shady in the last leg who has a sticky draw. Maybe the third leg can be trimmed up a tad as well.
