Horsham drivers’ invitational: Get to know Chris Voak

Horsham-bound West Australian reinsman Chris Voak notched up his 100th winner for the season at Pinjarra on Monday afternoon, his ninth consecutive century since “ton number one” back in 2011-12.

There’s been lots of laps since Voak posted his first winner with Impulsive Gift at Glouchester Park on February 14 2009 and the 2013 Australasian Young Drivers’ Champion heads to Horsham for the drivers invitational on Monday afternoon with a career record of 10,487 starts, 1243 wins, 2539 placings and $12,055,564 stakemoney.

Get to know Chris Voak:

Your greatest strength and weakness? My strength is probably talking, my greatest weakness is generosity.

Strangest thing you have ever eaten? I’m very fussy when it comes to food and never eat anything strange.

Your favourite and least favourite words? My favourite words are curse words, they are extremely flexible and can be used in a variety of ways to describe almost anything. My least favourite is “No” because it usually means rejection.

Your hero? Gareth Hall, he is the perfect mix of Lois Lane and Superman.

The last book you read was? I honestly never read books as I lack the patience and prefer movies.

If you were able to spend a day with a celebrity, who would it be? Mark Wahlberg (actor, businessman, singer) – he likes golf too!

A question you hate to answer? Being asked for a winner, I’m a terrible tipster.

Worst place ever visited? Athens, would never go back there.

Is your glass half full, half empty or simply has water in it? Half full or half empty … the measurement’s the same to me.

Your guilty pleasure? Beer, I just love the taste of it.

If you could retire tomorrow, what would you do? Head straight to Vegas.

Favourite music, genre, artist or songs? I like a variety of music, depends on the mood I’m in.

If you could bring a famous person back to life, who would it be? Johnny Cash.

Last time you ran or jogged? Every Friday night at GP I’m running from drive to drive so the stewards don’t fine me for being late into the parade ring!

If you joined the circus, what would be your act or role? The clown.

A bad habit? Talking too much.
