Anthony MacDonald has outlined the philosophy that fuels his Canadian stable’s owner-focused success in the latest edition of Tooth Be Told.
Host Paul Campbell enjoyed a wide-ranging chat with MacDonald during the latter’s recent trip to Australia.
“Anybody finds what we do fascinating or interesting if they just give it a look, because in terms of entertainment, it’s much more affortable to be involved in horse racing and much more entertaining than anything you are going to find in society dollars-for-dollars,” MacDonald said.
“Make no mistake, the thing that’s going to get people out to the races is not a new wager … it’s going to be the entertainment attributable to ownership. Affordable horse ownership is the way forward.”
