Royle Blood has her second run here for the astute Svanosio stable and she was a good thing beaten at their first outing. She drew the back row, and Taylor Youl had a lap full of horse to the line and with even luck would have won easily. Goes to the front row now and possesses speed, so I’m expecting a bold performance.

Sporting Rage stepped out for the first time for new trainer Mark Boyle here at Swan Hill two weeks ago and couldn’t have been more impressive as a runaway winner. Shorter trip and the tricky draw do present a hurdle, but I like that James Herbertson sticks to give him an A-Grade steer.

Monatana Pride looks the best of good things here despite failing last start at Melton as a $1.40 favourite. He was caught wide in fast time and was a complete forgive run.
