Ewa Justice will have five drives on Breeders Crown night at Melton Entertainment Park this Saturday, November 16, including a standout drive on Mufasa Metro in the Group 2 Haras des Trotteurs Australian Trotting Grand Prix.
All eyes will be on this talented reinswoman as she aims for Group 2 glory on one of the prestigious nights of harness racing in Victoria.
“Mufasa (Metro) has the early gate speed to be prominent in the race for a long way,” Justice said about the trotter trained by her father John, who was a last start winner of the Aldebaran Park Trotters Free For All.
“I’m really looking forward to this race. It looks to be a high-quality field with some of our best trotters involved, without the inclusion of a horse like Just Believe it really opens the race up to a number of chances.”
Mufasa Metro has drawn barrier four in the trotting feature, set to kick off at 6.55pm. The 21-year-old also shared her thoughts on her four other Group 2 drives on the evening.
R2: Vhrc Caduceus Classic (Group 2) – 6.26pm
#4 – Helluva (Trainer: John Justice)
Justice says, “He is probably in career best form. It’s an alright draw for him but we will probably need a bit of luck. I am sure he will be hitting the line strong.”
R5: IRT Breeders Crown (2yo Colts & Geldings) Final (Group 2) – 8.05pm
#1 – In An Ideal World (Trainer: John Justice)
Justice says, “Ideal draw for this guy who hasn’t been able to crack his maiden yet but has been racing super consistently, so he deserves to be in the race.”
R6: Lather Up @ Woodlands Stud Breeders Crown (3yo Colts & Geldings) Final (Group 2) – 8.42pm
#1 – Nathan Street (Trainer: Freddy Taiba)
Justice says, “First drive on this horse who has a few tricks up his sleeve but on his day he is a serious horse.”
Pebble Beach Breeders Crown (2yo Fillies) Final (Group 2) – 10.55pm
#6 – Galaxy Lass (Trainer: John Justice)
Justice says, “Disappointed to draw seven with her but she is a high-speed filly who with the right run should be running home hard.”
