Jackie Barker outlines her upcoming Geelong and Melton drives

Recent dual Group 1 winning driver Jackie Barker has a strong book of drives on Friday at Geelong and Saturday at Melton.

The talented reinswoman outlined her chances ahead of these meetings.

GEELONG – FRIDAY 4TH OCTOBER

R1 – Hoyts Food Pace

#11 Hurricane Harley (Trainer: Emma Stewart)

Barker says – “Not a great draw over the short trip, we will be needing a solid tempo up front and hopefully we can get a nice cart up and he’ll be hitting the line strongly.”

R5 – Apco We Got You Pace

#3 Radius (Trainer: David Barbetti)

Barker says – “The old boy is racing well and just needs to settle handy and get a bit of luck in running to be in the finish.”

MELTON – SATURDAY 5TH OCTOBER

R3 – Woodlands Stud Victoria Derby (1st Heat)

#2 Miki To Success (Trainer: Emma Stewart)

Barker says – I can’t knock his recent performances (last start Group 1 winner), looking to hold a forward position from the good barrier. I think the long distance is really going to suit him.”

R5 – Pryde’s Easifeed Victoria Oaks (1st Heat)

#3 Vague Beauty (Trainer: Emma Stewart)

Barker says – “She’s been racing consistently and goes into this race with some confident wins behind her despite stepping up in grade for this assignment. She will be hitting the line strongly with the right run.”

R6 – Pryde’s Easifeed Victoria Oaks (2nd Heat)

#6 Stitched Up Dan (Trainer: Emma Stewart)

Barker says – “She has showed continued improvement this campaign and I expect her to be running home well at the finish despite the awkward barrier.”
