The fields are out for the Garrard’s Horse and Hound Young Guns Series at Melton Entertainment Park.
Eight races have been confirmed, with seven of those at capacity.
Ryan Sanderson, Luke Dunne, Ryan Backhouse, Liam Older, Tasmyn Potter, Connor Clarke, Sean O’Sullivan and Taylor Youl all have eight drives on the New Year’s Eve card, with seven each for Ewa Justice and Jordan Leedham.
The top 10 under-25 Victorian-licensed drivers based on season wins up to and including November 30 have earned a spot in the Young Guns Series. They will compete in ratings-exempt races throughout the meeting, with a sliding points scale based on finishing positions used to declare an overall winner.
The first prize is a money-can’t-buy trip to the United States, featuring an exclusive training and racing experience with the New York-based powerhouse team of Shane and Lauren Tritton.
Young driver Abby Sanderson will join Bronte Nieuwenburg and Tim O’Connor for the wall-to-wall coverage of the night on TrotsVision and Sky Racing, with the first race set down for 6.43pm.
