Race meeting transfer – Bendigo to Melton Entertainment Park

Harness Racing Victoria advises that due to the Victorian Government declaring a State of Disaster for fire-affected areas including Greater Bendigo, as a result of extreme weather, fire dangers and challenging road access conditions, tonight’s Bendigo race meeting has been transferred to Melton Entertainment Park.

Read the Victorian Government’s release here.

Race distances have been updated as follows:

1609m and 1650m are now 1720m

2150m is now 2240m

2650m standing start is now 2760m standing start

Barrier draws and race fields will remain as programmed for Bendigo.

Participants are strongly encouraged to review travel plans carefully to ensure their safety. If, after assessing travel routes or conditions, participants have concerns about proceeding, they are entitled to scratch without penalty.

Harness Racing Victoria continues to closely monitor weather conditions, air quality and fire activity, and will be guided by advice from relevant emergency services and authorities.

Further updates will be provided as required.
