Breeding and sales vouchers provided by Harness Racing Victoria to winning owners as part of the new multi-million dollar Vicbred Vouchers Program may be utilised to purchase a Vicbred yearling at the Australian Pacing Gold Melbourne Yearling Sale on Sunday, February 15.
Fifty lots listed to go under the hammer at the Oaklands Junction sale paddocks can be used by recipients of the HRV Vicbred $5,000 vouchers towards the purchase of a yearling.
The Vicbred Voucher scheme covers 550 races across two seasons conducted at Victorian country tracks and Melton.
In addition, APG and HRV are giving away an additional four $5,000 vouchers on sale day to registered buyers, which can be redeemed towards the purchase of a Vicbred Platinum yearling consigned to the sale.
The vouchers are a generous contribution to the APG sale and for the harness racing community from HRV.
The draw will take place in the Oaklands Junction auditorium prior to the commencement of the sale. To be eligible for the vouchers you must be officially registered as a buyer and be present in the auditorium at the time of the draw. Any unclaimed vouchers will be redrawn, and all vouchers are non-transferable.
Pacing yearlings purchased at the sale are eligible for $100,000 races for two-year-olds of both sexes in 2027 and $50,000 races for three-year-olds of both sexes in 2028. With only 28 pacing fillies and 35 pacing colts, this gives buyers the best odds in the country of winning the $100,000 prize in their first year on the track with the APG Race Series.
On top of that, trotting yearlings are eligible for a $40,000 mixed sex classic for two-year-olds in 2027 and a $30,000 mixed sex race for three-year-olds in 2028.
With some stunning yearlings, a great race series, Vicbred bonuses and vouchers to boot, this year is shaping up to be a real buyers’ market in Melbourne. For further details of all the lots in the APG Melbourne Yearling Sale then check out the Online Catalogue or Register as a Buyer today!
