It’s time for Le Spartacus to stand up.
Racing in handy form, Le Spartacus is overdue for a win but is primed to break his drought, according to trainer Boris Devcic.
Le Spartacus has been winless since scoring in Kapunda last March, but, should all go to plan, that elusive victory will come in Swan Hill tomorrow night.
Runner-up during his recent Swan Hill appearance, Le Spartacus will return to the provincial circuit for the club’s Pacing Cup.
“He is going well, but he just hasn’t had much luck lately,” Devcic said. “He ran second there a couple of weeks ago in a quick time and hit the line well.
“He had a cosy run on that occasion and will need it again, but if the breaks go his way, he can upset them.”
Concession reinsman Luke Dunne is set to reunite with Le Spartacus, which has drawn barrier five.
Dunne hasn’t partnered the son of Betting Line since their win in Mildura on May 6, 2025.
“He has drawn OK,” Devcic said. “Hopefully he can slot into the running line from there.
“He is in top condition and loves the distance, so he should have a chance.”
