OVERVIEW:The final Vic Derby heat of the evening is the weakest by a space but that doesn’t make it too much easier to analyse. One suspects that with his rapid improvement this campaign and the opinion David Aiken has of him that Lochinvar Art’s conqueror from two starts back MAX DELIGHT (3) should be too good particularly if you believe the lead is likely his though there are plenty of potential assassins if things don’t work out as simply as that. Heading that list is Kiwi visitor SUPREME DOMINATOR (1) who ran a ripping race at elite level in Auckland last start but who also started very long odds in that event. Also in the mix to qualify for next weekend are SOHO THUNDERSTRUCK (8), NOSTRA IDEAL (2), FOURBIGMEN (9), PETES BIG JIM (4) and WAR DAN DELIGHT (6) who all have intersecting formlines around one another from both sides of the ditch which tend to confuse rather than clarify which is best placed to strike a blow this evening.
