SELECTIONS: INTERPRETATION (9), ARRAPS (2), FINAL BOW (6), LORIMERMAJOR (5)

OVERVIEW: INTERPRETATION (9) appears to be well placed against this field and will take holding out in the run to the finish. She finished off quickly for second behind Shaq two starts ago then led out and took cover at her latest fourth in fast time. ARRAPS (2) finished off reasonably well when third behind Flip A Coin at Shepparton seven days ago. He performs much better when he is able to lead and he moves to the front line now so he must be respected. FINAL BOW (6) led out then took cover when she appeared to have her chance behind Shaq two starts ago. Her overall form is strong however and she bounced back with a dominant victory at Kilmore on Thursday so she looms as one of the leading chances again. LORIMERMAJOR (5) finished off well from midfield when he scored at Bendigo three starts ago and had no clear run at Kilmore on Thursday so he has claims against this line up.

SELECTIONS: PAPPA LEO (4), TREACHEROUSTIMES (3), FAVOURITEHIGHLIGHT (2), KEAYANG ALEX (5)

OVERVIEW: It is an open race with many winning chances. PAPPA LEO (4) has only been placed once in 22 starts for the season but he possesses early speed and this is his easiest assignment for a long time so he gets his chance to improve on that record. There wasn’t much separating TREACHEROUSTIMES (3) and FAVOURITEHIGHLIGHT (2) on the line last week with TREACHEROUSTIMES (3) being able to get up on the line after receiving a slightly easier trip. This race is no harder and both horses are worth thought again. KEAYANG ALEX (5) has been competing against strong opposition in New South Wales and should go better under these conditions. REINDER (7) and MANDS PEARL (10) could also show up prominently without surprising.

OVERVIEW: SELF EXCLUSION (9) has been placed in three of his past four starts and gets his chance to break through for a victory against this class. He did enjoy an economical trip at his latest third but he wasn’t beaten by far. JOEYS HANGOVER (10) attempted to lead throughout and was run down over the latter stages by Spun Silver at Kilmore on Thursday. He has been placed in four of his past five starts so another bold showing is expected. BERYLS BOOTS (8) was aggressively driven early and battled on well for third at Shepparton two starts ago. He is a maiden from 41 starts but he is capable of filling a place again. ALLHEARTNOHEIGHT (6) has a terrible draw to overcome but has claims along with OKTOLOVE (7).

OVERVIEW: WHATTA YA UP TAA (3) left a trailing position to move up without cover when a creditable fifth at Swan Hill last week. He finished well for third at Echuca when on his debut and he is drawn to give a great sight. ORSINO BELLE (2) took on stronger opposition when fifth at Melton last outing and should gain an economical trip from her good draw. She was placed at Maryborough three starts ago and should be competitive again. CAPTAIN GRIN (6) gained a nice run on the markers and finished off fairly well for third at Shepparton last week. He should continue to improve with the benefit of racing and is worth an investment. ONYX (8) battled on well for third last week behind Postit Lafite and is a winning chance along with BOUY (9).

SELECTIONS: KEAYANG OMAR (5), SHARP INTEREST (8), MCWIZARD (4), CITY ROCKSTAR (2)

OVERVIEW: KEAYANG OMAR (5) was heavily supported but had no clear run at the end and should have finished closer when an unlucky eighth at Bendigo then followed with a third behind the in-form pacer Pet Kitty. He is racing better than his form reads and this is a significant drop back in class so he is worth following. SHARP INTEREST (8) is still learning but he is very talented and looms as one of the leading chances again. He worked around the field to find the lead at the bell and scored in a mile rate of 1.57.9 at Shepparton last week. MCWIZARD (4) finished unplaced in the Kyabram Cup last outing and is likely to find this assignment to be easier. He was placed at Echuca two starts ago and was a winner at Wagga back in August. CITY ROCKSTAR (2) is a fast beginner and races best when she is able to lead over the sprint distance so she has the conditions to suit her here.

SELECTIONS: COCONUT MICKEY (4), BETSY ANNE (7), APEX (8), MADGE EGAN (2)

OVERVIEW: COCONUT MICKEY (4) commenced from the handicap of 30m, progressed forward into a nice trailing position and tried hard when fourth at Maryborough last outing. He possesses early speed and strikes a suitable assignment so he should be very competitive here. BETSY ANNE (7) is awkwardly drawn but she is a speedy mare and will be fitter after a recent Shepparton trial fourth so she is not without a chance. APEX (8) performs best when he is able to lead or settle close to the pace so being drawn on the second line is a disadvantage but he does get into the race nicely with the aid of a concession claim. MADGE EGAN (2) didn’t have a great deal of luck after commencing from the outside of the second row at Shepparton last week and her last win was on the Echuca circuit so she cannot be left out of calculations.

SELECTIONS: DRAW THE CURTAIN (1), FLIP A COIN (8), KRAKEY (4), WITHIN REASON (6)

OVERVIEW: DRAW THE CURTAIN (1) is a juvenile pacer taking on older horses but he is quite handy and is a good chance of leading throughout over the sprint distance. He led when second in a mile rate of 1.55.8 on debut then ran into the very highly regarded Seaside Boy at his latest fifth in 1.52.8! FLIP A COIN (8) had a wide trip early before progressing forward to find the lead at the 1500m when he scored comfortably at Shepparton last week. He is racing in peak form and is worth thought again. KRAKEY (4) has been racing in good form and a forward showing is expected. He worked to the front when he scored at Shepparton four starts ago and finished second in fast time at Wagga at his latest attempt. WITHIN REASON (6) finished off quickly from a rearward position when second behind FLIP A COIN (8) last week and is worth thought along with TAP TO PAY (7), which has the perfect trailing draw behind DRAW THE CURTAIN (1).

SELECTIONS: MADAM REACTOR (5), ILLAWONG PHOENIX (6), MUSSEL SHOALS (4), FEEL THE REIGN (8)

OVERVIEW: MADAM REACTOR (5) appears to be extremely well graded in this event and should prove hard to beat despite having several fast beginners drawn on her inside. She led and was run down on the line at Bendigo two starts ago then battled on well after racing without cover throughout at her latest attempt. ILLAWONG PHOENIX (6) also has to overcome a tricky draw but she has never raced better and should make her presence felt. She has won five of her past nine attempts including her latest victory at Ballarat, where she was aggressively driven from the second line. MUSSEL SHOALS (4) is a very fast beginner and ran a game race in the front running role when second behind the in-form pacer Lilstrepo at Shepparton last week. She does perform well on the Echuca circuit and is worth an investment. FEEL THE REIGN (8) was very unlucky at Kilmore on Thursday, where he was checked by a galloping horse at the 700m and made up many lengths. He has claims along with COUNTRY ROCKSTAR (1), which has been performing well at the trials but is racing outside of her class range first up.
