OVERVIEW: ESPERANZA (4) is a former New South Wales trained pacer, which finished second behind Torque In Heaven at her local debut. She appeared to have her chance first up but this race is easier and she should be fitter so she warrants consideration. MYNAMEISRUBY (2) led out then took cover behind the winner Dreamtime Nala when second at Melton last outing. She is drawn to obtain her favourite position behind the leader again so she must be included amongst the leading chances. PUNTO CALIENTE (7) was restrained at the start, settled last on the markers and angled wide from the 300m when a handy finishing second at Mildura last week. He is racing consistently against this class and is worth a ticket each way. CHALKNDCHEDDAR (6) is working back into his peak form having been placed in two of his last three starts and is a place chance again along with SUNSHINE WARRIOR (8).

OVERVIEW: CAPITAL AVENUE (3) settled on the markers, moved up without cover in the final lap and battled on strongly for second at his debut. He is nicely drawn and is capable of going one better against this line up. ALL DONE TARA (2) led out then took cover when a close second behind Aruval at Melton last outing. She is drawn to gain a similar trip and should be very competitive again. YOU’VE BEEN SERVED (1) is a first starter, which finished last of two at a recent Bendigo trial effort behind Major Friend, which has performed well since. She is ideally drawn and must be kept safe. JUSTSOYOUKNOW (5) appeared to have his chance when fourth at Bendigo last time out but he went well for third behind Midnight Alibi at his debut and this race might be slightly easier. MY ULTIMATE HENRY (6) and THE NINJA (8) are both racing well enough to be worth thought in multiple combinations.

OVERVIEW: DON CRUNCH (4) went back at the start from a wide draw, settled down last and finished off swiftly when a big second behind Cocosworld at Maryborough last outing. He is a promising 3yo and will prove hard to beat again. WOODVILLE FLYER (2) was heavily supported and was able to lead throughout to win her Maiden at Ballarat last outing. She is a nicely bred mare that continues to improve with the benefit of experience and is drawn to go well again. LISTEN TO THE HAND (8) began quickly to find the lead, ran along at an even tempo and dominated his rivals when he scored easily at Mildura last week. This is a race of more depth but he is worth thought again. SIARGAO ISLAND (9) had every chance from behind the leader and finished a distant second when resuming. He should be fitter from that run and is worth another chance. The New South Wales trained pacer BIGWHEEL BOMBA (5) must be kept safe.

OVERVIEW: KYORETSU (7) produced his best effort for a long time when he led throughout and blitzed his rivals at Mildura last week. This race is no harder and he is capable of overcoming the wide draw. OWEN THE SAINTS (4) was held up for a run at a vital stage and didn’t have much luck when seventh at Melton last outing. He appears to be well placed against this line up and must be considered as a winning chance. HELLOVATIME (8) is likely to be shuffled back on the markers from his awkward trailing draw but he will appreciate a drop back in class for this assignment and he wasn’t beaten by far when fourth behind Galaxy Lass at Cranbourne last outing. CHEERS POVERTY (6) produced successive victories after leading throughout on each occasion then followed with an unplaced effort last week, where he commenced from the second line. He is a bold front runner so the shift back to the front line is significant.

OVERVIEW: OZZIE CORKA (7) is a fast beginner and will appreciate a significant drop back in class on his recent Metropolitan performances. He wasn’t beaten by far behind Clymenus at Kilmore last outing and his third behind the in-form pacer Apollostorm in a slick mile rate of 1.54.1 on July 04 is a good form pointer for this event. SHARP INTEREST (9) commenced from the inside of the second line, was shuffled back on the markers and went to the line jogging with no clear run when an unlucky eighth at Wagga last outing. Her form prior was strong so she is worth another chance. THEBUCKSONYOU (1) was also unlucky last start as he was held up for a run at a vital stage and finished off fast. He is ideally drawn and rates as a value chance. TRIPLE ROCK SAINT (8) appears to be well placed against this line up and has claims from the trailing draw.

OVERVIEW: SNEAKY PHILTRA (5) has stuck peak form having won at her past two attempts. She led throughout and scored by a large margin on July 10 then followed with a big win from off the pace last week. She must be considered as a winning chance again. MEGAWATTS (11) has also been racing in great form and looms as one of the leading chances. She gained a nice trail but extended beautifully to win by a comfortable margin at Shepparton last outing. She is versatile and is capable of overcoming the extreme draw. APOLOGY ACCEPTED (9) has been placed in six of his past eight starts and ran a good race for second behind SNEAKY PHILTRA (5) last outing. He should receive an economical run from his trailing draw and is worth thought again. KEAYANG CRIPPA (2) will be fitter after his first up performance and has claims along with HOLD ON FOREVER (6).

OVERVIEW: SPORTING RAGE (6) began fast to find the lead and dashed home in a slick final quarter of 28.4 seconds to win comfortably at Charlton last outing. He is meeting a field of similar standard here and should prove hard to beat again. BLUE CANNON (10) broke stride shortly after the start and lost his chance at Bendigo last outing. He was runner up at his previous two Bendigo attempts and he appears to be well placed against this line up. MYRTLE MAY (4) trailed the leader and used the sprint lane when she got up to win at Maryborough last week. She sat in the trail throughout when second behind SPORTING RAGE (6) at Charlton prior and she looms as one of the leading chances again. SHAQ (1) has been a little below his best recently but he has dropped back into a winnable grade and he is perfectly drawn so he is worth another chance.

OVERVIEW: SERG BLANCO NZ (5) was resuming since December when he led, rolled along at a genuine tempo and held off the challengers to win comfortably at Mildura last week. He will be fitter from that performance and is a strong winning chance again. CLYMENUS NZ (3) looms as the logical danger. He has been racing well at Metropolitan level and he showed terrific acceleration to win via the sprint lane at Kilmore last outing. TOUGH AINT ENOUGH (4) finished off well for second behind Letsgo Big Girl then followed with an unlucky fifth behind SERG BLANCO NZ (5), where he had no clear run at the finish. He is a versatile pacer and is worth a ticket each way. WHERES THE GOLD (6) led throughout from a wide draw at Bathurst two starts ago then settled in a rearward position and couldn’t work into the race at his Mildura debut. He is widely drawn again but might run into a place.
