| 7 | s81211 | ROAM Dr: Liam Older | Craig Turnbull | Liam Older (C,3) | 17% | 4 | $3.4 |
OVERVIEW: ROAM (7) raced without cover early before gaining a one out and one back trail when she finished off strongly to win at Shepparton last outing. She is versatile and is racing in career best form so she looms as the horse to beat again despite the wide draw. IMAGINATION ORO (4) led out then took cover when third behind the smart pacer Jilliby Dooley (won again since) in the Jim Barker Classic at Hamilton then endured a tough trip in fast time at Cranbourne. She is a fast beginner and should be prominent throughout. RUBY WINGATE (6) has been racing well below her best form but she will appreciate a significant drop back in class for this assignment so she is a possible improver. OVER THE LINE (2) on the other hand is stepping up in grade but is racing well enough to figure in the finish and ASMILEANDAWINX (5) is not without a chance.

| 8 | 9 | CALLINAN Dr: Kerryn Manning | Peter Manning | Kerryn Manning | 8 | $26 | |||
OVERVIEW: ORLANDO VEYRON (5) sat behind the leader Zippin Past and produced a strong finish to win the Kindergarten Stakes at Bendigo last outing. If anything, this race is easier and he will prove very hard to beat again. REGAL GALA (4) finished in third behind ORLANDO VEYRON (5) at his latest attempt and he was able to lead throughout at a Maryborough victory on April 10 so he appears to be the logical danger. TRUE APLOMB (7) is a nicely bred filly, which broke stride at her debut performance then followed with a distant fifth behind ORLANDO VEYRON (5). She should continue to improve with the benefit of racing and is worth a place ticket. CALLINAN (8) broke stride at his debut and lost all chance. He might be able to get away better following through from the second line in this event and is worth another chance.

| 8 | 11 | ALL OVER IT Dr: Alex Ashwood | Keith Cotchin | Alex Ashwood | 3 | $9.0 | |||
OVERVIEW: ALL OVER IT (8) has been extremely impressive at his two victories to date and should be competitive again. He was driven aggressively mid-race to find the top and completely dominated his rivals last outing. HIGH TEMPO (2) is an Emma Stewart trained colt, which remains undefeated in two trial attempts and is sure to be strongly fancied for his debut performance. He dashed home in a final quarter of 28.4 seconds to defeat Mufasa Bart at his latest trial attempt. MASTER LOUEY (4) is shooting for a hat trick after victories at Kilmore and Cranbourne. This is a race of more depth but he showed very good speed at the end to snare victory last time so he is not without a chance. SPRINGFIELD RIVER (5) was racing against top opposition at the end of his campaign with a tenth in the Homegrown Classic, a third in the Graham Head Memorial and a sixth in the Holloway Classic. He has been performing fairly well at the trials and has the ability to test this field. ISTHISTHEREALLIFE (7) is poorly drawn but she won handily at Ararat on debut and is nicely bred so she cannot be left out of calculations.

| 9 | 613646 | JOHNS BOY NZ Dr: Tristan Larsen | Brent Lilley | Tristan Larsen (C) | 10% | 1 | $5.5 |
OVERVIEW: QUEEN KIZEN (4) should be reaching her peak form after having three starts back from a break and looms as one of the leading chances. She has had a win and a second from two attempts from the standing start, which is a good lead to her chances. ANTONOV (5) is a versatile trotter, which finished fifth at his first effort since February. He should strip fitter from that outing and his overall form is good enough to be competitive against this line up. A TRUE STORY (7) was competing against much tougher opposition when he was last in work and will go well if he is somewhere near his peak form. He hasn’t started since a tenth in the South Australian Cup back in October. WATCH AND ACT (1) is a swift beginner and is capable of filling a place from the pole position. MAESTRO (8) and JOHNS BOY (9) are both standing start specialists and are worth thought despite their tough handicap.

OVERVIEW: ROBLEN RANGER (9) competed in the Pleasant Creek Plate series at Stawell, where he won a heat and finished fourth in the Final on the same day. He met a smart one in Le Cardinal when fourth at Terang last outing and he will be better suited against this line up. ROYLANCE (5) was making his debut for trainer Luke Tabone when he led throughout to score in a mile rate of 1.58.0 last week. This race is only slightly tougher and he is drawn to give another forward showing. LADY IN LINE (4) finished off quickly to defeat Media Mogul (won since) at Ballarat. She is a speedy mare and should be finding the line well again. JINDALEA JACK (2) should be fitter from his first up fourth and is a fast beginner so he should be prominent throughout. PRECIOUS BELLE (1), WINGATE GUY (6), SENNA STORM (7) and OUTBACK QUEENIE (8) are all capable of showing up without surprising.

OVERVIEW: TREACHEROUSTIMES (6) was able to lead throughout under similar conditions at Shepparton on April 21 and is a good chance of finding the lead again. His wins are well spaced but he should take catching over the sprint distance. NORTHERN TERROR (8) sustained a flat tyre when in a striking position at the 800m and had to be retired out of the event at Shepparton on Tuesday. He ran a game third at Shepparton prior and he scored at Kilmore on March 12 so he should prove hard to beat if he gains the right luck in running from the awkward draw. QUICK DECISION (4) was doing her best work late when third behind Media Mogul at Terang. She is racing well enough to figure in the finish. THE LADYBIRD (9) has the perfect trailing draw and possesses a handy finishing burst so she is worth a ticket each way.

OVERVIEW: AI SEDHAI (5) was held up for a run at a vital stage and worked home well for second behind Fremarks Peggy last outing. He won over the sprint distance at Maryborough on March 30 and should prove hard to beat again. MIDNITE MUSCLE (6) began fast to lead, pulled hard and took cover at the 1600m when third behind The Italian Dream in a stronger race at Bendigo on Wednesday night. He is suited to competing over the sprint distance and should give a forward showing. BETTOR MAN (10) pushed forward to race without cover and proved to be too strong at Ballarat. He began quickly and was vying for the lead before breaking stride on the first turn and losing his chance last outing. He is a winning chance if he delivers a fool proof display. NIGHT FLIGHT (7) was able to lead throughout at a Geelong victory on April 17. He will be suited to competing over the sprint distance and should be competitive against this line up.
BACK: AI SEDHAI (5) – 2 units (win)

OVERVIEW: FARROH JOE (2) is drawn to find the lead and should give a forward showing. He raced without cover when a brave third in a sizzling mile rate of 1.53.5 two starts ago then endured a similar trip at his latest third behind Cardigan Jem. THEMIDNIGHTEXPRESS (7) has been freshened since a seventh in the Group 1 Bathurst Gold Crown Final in March. He led when second in a heat of that series and his form in Victoria prior was very strong so he should prove hard to beat. STAUNTON (6) is an Emma Stewart trained pacer that has had a win and a second at the trials and is likely to attract plenty of support. His first up trial victory where he led throughout was very impressive. LA CANTATRICE (4) finished fifth in the Bathurst Gold Tiara Final and returned to Victoria with a second behind Letitrideluv at Melton where she attempted to lead throughout. She is meeting some smart colts but she is capable of filling a place.
