SELECTIONS: VINCE LOMBARDI (8), MISTER BOOMBASTIK (9), BEAUTY ABOVE (7), BETTOR DOO (2)
OVERVIEW: VINCE LOMBARDI (8) was headed off at the start, moved up without cover shortly afterwards and battled on well for third last outing. He is yet to win ten starts for the season but this is clearly his easiest assignment and he gets his chance to break through. MISTER BOOMBASTIK (9) began quickly to find the lead and scored comfortably at Mildura on August 29. He has been unplaced at his past two attempts but he broke stride at the 700m and had excuses last week. This race is more suitable and he is worth another chance. BEAUTY ABOVE (7) endured a tough run and peaked late when ninth at Mildura last week. She finished off well from a rearward position when third to Cheers Poverty three starts ago and is not without a chance. BETTOR DOO (2) and CORNELIA (6) are both worth thought in multiple combinations.
