OVERVIEW: It is an open race with many winning chances. HALF AS TOUGH (11) settled midfield and came out three horses wide from the 600m when a creditable second behind the smart 2yo pacer Dispersion at Hamilton last week. He is poorly drawn but should be competitive again. IDEAL HIGH (7) followed HALF AS TOUGH (11) all of the way and held his own over the latter stages when third in the same race last week. He should continue to benefit from race experience and is worth an investment. ITS HYDROMATIC (6) has only been placed once in 21 starts but he was performing nicely at the trials prior to a fast finishing sixth when resuming at Kilmore so he gets his chance to improve. The former New South Wales pacer KELLYS COMMOTION (10) ran a reasonable race when third behind Millies Boy at her Victorian debut and is not without a chance.
