The 21-year-old, who’s nearing 50 wins in the sulky, missed week one of the competition but amassed the 13th highest Week 2 score and the ninth highest Week 3 score to tally $626,250 for the TrotStars series.
The successive high-flying weeks has won him TrotStars’ grand prize, a $1000 travel voucher, a just reward for outpointing the other 392 entrants who put their trots knowledge to the Summer of Glory test.
Second place was claimed by Mark Hayes ($604,340) who finished ahead of third-placed Michael Denny ($597,760), winner of Week 2, fourth-placed Alan Prentice ($585,730) and fifth-placed Paul Rowse ($579,760).
The top 10 was rounded out by Patrick Monaghan, who leapt up the rankings with a Night 3 score of $447,480, which was the top score for the competition’s final night.
Monaghan collected the $250 Coles-Myer voucher for his win, having selected Tornado Valley, King Of Swing, Bettor Enforce, Bright Energy and Destinee Jenilou.
It was enough to finish marginally ahead of second-placed Michael Scott by $980, with the pair among just nine entrants to select the winners of both the Del-Re National A. G. Hunter Cup and What The Hill Great Southern Star on Night 3.
