The 2022 North American Grand Circuit, conducted by the United States Trotting Association, will be hosted by 22 tracks in eight USA States and two provinces in Canada.

The Grand Circuit’s first stopover is Yonkers Raceway, New York which will stage the first leg of the Blue Chip Matchmaker Series on March 18 before culminating with the $125,000 Final on April 25.

The Triple Crown for three-year-old pacers will open with the $275,000 Cane Pace at The Meadowlands on June 8, followed by the $500,000 Messenger at Yonkers on July 1. The third and final leg, the iconic Little Brown Jug, will be held at the Delaware County Fair on September 22, with heats and a final carrying an estimated total stake of $665,000.

The Triple Crown for three-year-old trotters commences with the Yonkers Trot, conducted with $40,000 eliminations at Yonkers on June 24 and the $500,000 Final on July 1.

The Hambletonian, one of the world’s richest and most prestigious trotting classics, will again be staged at The Meadowlands with $100,000 eliminations scheduled for July 30 and the $1 million (estimated) Final on August 6.

The trotters’ Triple Crown will conclude with the $475,000 Kentucky Futurity on October 9, as part of Grand Circuit week at The Red Mile

The $6.7 million Breeders Crown will be hosted by Woodbine Mohawk Park in Ontario, Canada with $25,000 eliminations on October 21 and 22 and the Finals on October 28.

Two and three-year-olds of both sexes and gaits will compete for Finals worth $600,000 each, while older pacing and trotting females will race for Finals valued at $350,000.

Other Grand Circuit gems for the three-year-old pacers include the $1 million North America Cup (Woodbine), $700,000 Meadowlands Pace (The Meadowlands), $450,000 Fan Hanover (Woodbine), $400,000 Tattersalls Pace (The Red Mile) and the $350,000 Adios Stake (The Meadows).

Three-year-old trotting features include the $600,000 Canadian Trotting Classic (Woodbine), $500,000 Hambletonian Oaks (The Meadowlands) and the $350,000 Zweig Memorial (Vernon Downs).

The two year-old pacing cavalcade is highlighted by the $850,000 Metro Pace and $540,000 She’s A Great Lady at Woodbine and the $400,000 Governor’s Cup and $400,000 Three Diamonds at The Meadowlands.

Major stake race for two-year-old trotters include the $1 million Mohawk Million, $640,000 William Wellwood and $400,000 Peaceful Way (all at Woodbine) and the $400,000 Peter Haughton Memorial, $400,000 Jim Doherty Memorial, $400,000 Valley Victory and the $400,000 Goldsmith Maid (all The Meadowlands).
