Race 1 – 1720m Swift Signs Trot
1/8 Farrokh – Kerryn Manning/Chris Lang & Sonia Maher
Tricky race to start over the short trip, and Farrokh again draws awkwardly, but he’s going well and broke through for a deserved win last week. He got a perfect drive there and will need similar luck, but if the breaks come, he can flash late.

Race 2 – 1720m Lamaros Hotel Pace
2/1 Tara Victory – James Herbertson/Scott Ewen
Tara Victory is a mare in form, and she runs her best races when she’s able to lead or race forward. She was excellent with Herbertson in the sulky three back at Newcastle in quick time and the partnership has looked good in tougher grade since.

Race 3 – 1720m Logical Staffing Solutions Pace
3/9 Donmaro – Kate Gath/Andy Gath
Donmaro met with support first up from NZ but suffered an atrial fib and is worth forgiving on that, having trialled well since. He’s in an astute stable and although he’s off the back row over the short trip, a good early tempo should suit him.

Race 4 – 1720m Boozoom Trot
4/9 Claudys Hero – Kyle Marshall/Kyle Marshall
Claudys Hero has been in consistent form this time in, including a win here two back in what may be a good form race going forward. He was good again last week when off the back row in what was a slightly harder race.

Race 5 – 1720m Eco Timber Group Pace
5/5 Isolation – James Herbertson/Patrick Tompkinson
Isolation was putting down strong efforts in good times a few runs back. His past couple are complete forgive runs up in class from poor draws. He can press forward from this gate and if he finds the front will be very hard to run down.

Race 6 – 1720m Western Ford Trot
6/5 No Money No Honey – James Herbertson/Jess Tubbs
No Money No Honey resumes here off a long break with two trials and a sticky draw to deal with. Despite that, she displayed above-average ability last time in and strikes a suitable race, and the stable won in similar circumstances last week with Howdy Mate.

Race 7 – 2240m All States Building Pace
7/8 Jazzy Melea – Michael Bellman/Aaron Dunn
The scratching of Loucasso changes the shape of this race significantly. Jazzy Melea is a quality mare who bounced back to the type of form she’s capable of when resuming last time. She’ll need luck but will appreciate this grade.

Race 8 – 2240m Nevele R Stud Pace
8/6 Soap And Bubbles – Mark Pitt/Lisa Pitt
Soap And Bubbles should be peaking now fourth up and from a better draw can race forward. She hasn’t had much luck with draws and pattern, and was sectionally outstanding last time, so with even luck she’s hard to beat.

Race 9 – 2240m Mimosa Homes Pace
9/8 Forty Love – Michael Bellman/Aaron Dunn
Forty Love appears to get the most suitable race he’s faced in a while, having been up against the elite of his age group and class. Expect him to be off to put the pressure on mid-race and show his usual toughness over a distance which suits.

Race 10 – 1720m 2Construct Trot
10/4 Pinnie – Kate Gath/Andy Gath
Pinnie won’t know herself in this grade having raced against champion Keayang Zahara and other top trotters. She draws to show her good gate speed over the short trip, and all points to a big bounce-back for this little mare with a big heart.
